Alka Rai, 11 years old saluted her father for the last time! She rose above her grief to shout out loud the Gorkha Battle cry – Ayo Gorkhali! Colonel MN Rai’s life may have been cut short, but his inspiration, his ideas & his courage will live on forever with us. Alka whose battle cry & salute led to the Gorkha officers & soldiers repeating it several times over said she was a proud daughter. We are proud of you too Alka!
