When I went to AFSB I prepared myself for being natural in the whole interview, to be raw for trainability, not to show attitude to any JCO’s, assessors, batch mates and make friends. The journey of my experiences of AFSB success is as follows.
1. DAY-1(Screening):
First I prepared best for verbal & non-verbal test that really helps much because this in turn improves my OIR-Officer’s Intelligence Rating. Many people consider this test unimportant but this best OIR will take to achieve good grades.
2. DAY-1(Screening):
I made simple social story for the picture I got on my screening day-hazy picture and as per my perception ‘A lady cooking food and provides it to villagers free of cost’. Friends when I went for discussion I first narrated my story in very simple way and when I undergone discussion I forget my own story and concentrate on other stories and finding out the most common theme from all the narrations. After getting enough points from other’s stories I started discussing about the common theme while rest other busy in discussing their own story, friends I think this helps me much to display my quality of co-operating the group and team building.
3. DAY-1(Psychology):
On the same day of screening after getting positive result we all screened in candidate sent for psychology package that includes-TAT(12 story = 11 pict. & 12th blank), WAT, SRT. Friends I had not skip a single WAT and SRT; I just answer my basic responses for 60 WAT and 60 SRT. In TAT I cooked all simple, short and sweet stories.
4. DAY-2(Interview):
After satisfactory completion of psychology I put through the interview which is nothing but the formal interaction with president of board. As per my understanding he (interviewer) link my every statement with my body language & confidence and they don’t need fluent English for communication they were there just to see your confidence & commitment towards this service.
5. DAY-3 & 4(GTO-I & II):
GTO-I & II which were really good and satisfactory. The most important recipe for this task is to enjoy them all with your batch mates.
6. DAY-5(Conference):
When I come to know about my recommendation it was unbelievable for me. I had been asked only one question in conference ‘How do you prepare for SSB’ my natural reply was- One of my friend guided me about this and I fulfil his dream of being recommended from SSB.
