The Indian Army published notification for 23rd University Entry Scheme (23 UES Army) for Engineering Graduates(pre-final year) for the academic session 2012 – 2013. This recruitment is for grant of permanent commission in Indian Army for the course commencing in July 2014.Complete eligibility requirements, application format and procedure available in Employment News dated 11th Aug 2012.
Eligibility:
Only unmarried male candidates those are studying Pre Final Year Engineering Courses for the academic session 2012-2013 are eligible.

How to apply:
Apply on the plain paper as per the prescribed format. The envelope (white) containing the application should be superscribed in Red ink indicating clearly the branch of Engineering applied for i.e ‘ Applications for 23 UES Entry : ……… Engineering.
Send your application so as to reach respective Command HQ at the following address on or before 28 Sep 2012. Two un stamped self addressed envelop to receive an interview call letter should also be enclosed with the application.

Congrats on your selection. If you are in pre final year then the list for your SSB will be out by october 2013. and interviews will be held from nov mid 2013 onwards.

Sir, my college has percentage sysytem and i discussed with my HOD about the cpga .. he told me that we do not have such system in our college .. what should i do sir. sholud i send the application form without filling cpga. in our university we have percentage grading system . but the application says that cpga should be compulsarly filled .. sir, please reply to my query.

Sir, i talked to them but they are saying we dont have any conversion system. sir, is it necessary to fill in both cgpa and percentage column or can i just write my percentage and leave cpga column blank.
in simple words .. i think the people who have grading system have to fill in both the columns by calculating their percentage .. or is it other way round, do the people having percentage sysytem has to convert it to cpga and write both…. sir, can u please read the application form, there is a note below the column where we have to fill the semester marks, it is not clear to me… iwould be very thankful if u could explain that to me..

Sir , its not clearly specfied in the advetisement of 23 UES entry scheme that whether students from B.Tech-IT(Information Technology) studying in PFY are eligible to fill the form.Because in the advertisement no seats are specified for them.So i wanted to know that whether they are eligible or not??

You are not suppose to write the formula, just convert it and write the final marks or percentage.
Sir, what we have to write in the column of CGPA converted to %age as per your university rules. As in column 4th and 6th it will be same i.e., we have to write our cpi/cgpa into %age. But i dont have an idea about the 5th column i.e.,”CGPA converted to %age as per your university rules”. So, pls give some information for this. Thank U Sir.
heh bro if ur system is % base u need not fill the last 2column.and if its Cgpa based u need not fill the first 4. So i think its pretty clear. and cgpa converted to % per university rules is that if u have 7 cgpa than multiply it with the scaling factor of ur university.. its 9.5 for nit,10 for iit , 9.1, 9 and so on ask u college or university administration for the conversion

Sir i have cgpa-5.70 and 6.2 in last semester in electronics and communication, i have scored 55% in 12 standard and no active backlogs and have 78% in 10 standard. Can i expect a chance for my SSB regarding UES-23.

Final year students can direct apply for TGC or UES
lalit. did u fill UES last time… if yes, what did you wrote under marks column. do you wrote both cgpa and percentage marks or you just wrote your percentage… i have percentage system of marks, no grading system.. so should i send it just writing my percentage or do i have to convert it to cpga….
