Lt Col Purohit To Join The Indian Army Again

LT COL PUROHIT TO JOIN THE INDIAN ARMY AGAIN

After the Supreme Court granted bail to 2008 Malegaon blast accused Lieutenant Colonel Prasad Shrikant Purohit, his wife Aparna Purohit on Monday expressed happiness over the court’s decision. Speaking to ANI, Aparna said, “I am so thankful to the court. I am really happy that he (Lt Col Purohit) will be home.”

Meanwhile, senior lawyer, Harish Salve, appearing for Lieutenant Colonel Purohit told the media that they “relied on the new chargesheet by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and it contradicted what was said in their earlier chargesheets.” This comes after the Supreme Court earlier in the day set aside the Bombay High Court earlier order and granted bail to Prasad Purohit, who was accused in 2008 Malegaon blast.

A bench of Justices R.K. Agrawal and A.M. Sapre passed the order on the plea. Earlier on August 17, the apex court reserved its order on the bail plea of Lieutenant Colonel Purohit. Salve told the court that Purohit did not want to be discharged from the case at present, but for the interest of justice, wanted an interim bail. He added that Lieutenant Colonel Purohit was allegedly caught in the political crossfire and was falsely implicated in the case.Lt Col Purohit

Opposing Lieutenant Colonel Purohit’s bail plea, the National Investigative Agency (NIA) argued that the Bombay High court order should be upheld by the apex court. Lieutenant Colonel Purohit’s bail plea was earlier rejected by the Bombay High Court saying the charges against him were of a grave nature, after which he moved to the top court.

Lieutenant Colonel Purohit, a former military intelligence officer, is one of the accused in the 2008 Malegaon blasts, along with Sadhvi Pragya and others. Sadhvi Pragya had been granted relief in the case by the Bombay High Court. The NIA had filed its reply in the case, saying that there was ample evidence against Purohit, but not against her.

The 2008 Malegaon serial blasts claimed four lives and left nearly 79 injured. (ANI)

Now as per the media reports cadet Navin Chhetri 23-year-old dies who was part of the same 10 KM run after which 6 more cadets fainted and one died.

Gentleman cadet of IMA Dehradun Mr. Navin Kumar Chhetri 23 yrs passed away during his training session at IMA Dehradun. He is from Sainikpuri, Khaprail. His body will land at Bagdogra Airport 3 PM today and will be escorted by the army to his native place. May his soul rest in peace !!

A cadet of the Indian Military Academy (IMA) died while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Dehradun, police said on Sunday. This was the second death of a cadet undergoing training at the country’s premier academy in less than two days. Police said 23-year-old Navin Chhetri, a resident of Khaprel village in Darjeeling district of West Bengal, was admitted at the military hospital and was later referred on Saturday to Mahant Indresh Hospital, where he died on the same night.

A source said Chhetri fell ill after he participated in a cross country run on Friday. He fell unconscious and was rushed to the military hospital situated in the cantonment area. However, HT could not independently verify the source’s information and IMA officials remained incommunicable. Medical college spokesperson Bhupendra Raturi said the patient was brought to the hospital in a ventilator system.

“The patient was unconscious and was brought on a life support system. He was perhaps suffering from a kidney ailment. However, the post-mortem report could definitely reveal the reason behind his death,” he told HT.

A post-mortem examination was performed on cadet’s body by doctors on Sunday, and the body was later handed over to his family.

On Friday, Deepak Sharma, a 22-year-old cadet hailing from Bathinda in Punjab, died during routine training after falling unconscious on the 10-km cross country track.

Wreaths were laid for both the departed Gentlemen Cadets in separate ceremonies which were attended by all Officers, JCOs and Gentlemen Cadets of the IMA.

Recommended For Indian Army Tech Entry- AIR -1

Recommended For Indian Army Tech Entry AIR -1

Hello all defense aspirants! I am Madhuri Vyas. I got recommended from 21 SSB, Bhopal in the first attempt. It’s a dream come true to write my SSB story for SSBCrack. From past 2 years, I am following SSBCrack and found myself motivated by reading the stories of recommended candidates.

I am a B.Tech(EE) graduate from my hometown Udaipur, Rajasthan. I have started giving AFCAT and CDS exam from the final year of the degree. I cleared AFCAT 1 2017 exam in 3rd attempt. For its SSB, I chose to appear at 4 AFSB, Gandhinagar on 18th  Sept. I started preparing for AFSB by joining Shaurya Defence Academy run by Retd. Col. M.S.Rathore in my home town. In the SSB sessions, I come to know about the exact procedure of the SSB.

In May I learned about my Tech entry in Army and received call letter for SSCW- Tech 20 entry. Initially, I was unsure of going for this entry as I wanted to use my fresh candidate status for AF SSB in which I am eligible for pilot entry (Becoming fighter pilot is my ultimate dream.) and also I needed more practice in G.K . My mentor Rathore Sir and my parents motivated me to go for it.

In the call-up letter we were asked to report at 14:00 hrs at Bhopal railway station on 14th  June, 2017. I and my one friend who was appearing for the same entry reached Bhopal station at 11:30 hrs. We were picked up around 12:30 hrs for SSC Bhopal. On reaching the selection centre, we were asked to wait for the other candidates. After the arrival of all the candidates, we were allotted rooms each to be shared by 6 candidates. Now we went to the admin block where our document verification and allotment of chest numbers took place in which 100 candidates were given the chest numbers. I was allotted with chest no. 6. On the next day OIR test and PP&DT were scheduled. In OIR, I attempted 95% questions and in PP&DT I made a simple, positive story. At the time of discussion, we were divided into groups of 15. I narrated my story confidently and my story with one more good story was concluded as group story. I had participated actively in group discussion. The screening results were declared after lunch. I lost hope when my chest number was not called out initially but soon it was called out and I was filled with joy and happily took the Stage II chest no. 12. After keeping our luggage back to the rooms we reported to the conference hall where we filled PIQ forms and deposited our cell phones.

Current Affairs questions will be from last 5-7 months (for AFCAT, NDA, CDS, TA)

Next day was the psychological tests. I made fairly positive stories in TAT keeping the woman as lead characters. In WAT I wrote the first sentence that came to my mind and attempted 57 words. I attempted 43 SRTs and wrote logical answers. In SD, which I have prepared in advance write the exact feedback by my parents’ teachers and friends. Also, we were told about our Interview schedules. The next day was our GTO 1st  day. As I am an athlete and love outdoor activities, I was very much excited. We were divided into groups of 9. In GD I spoke 2 to 3 times and made logical points. My group was very cooperative and everyone was getting a chance to put across their ideas. In GPE, PGT and FGT I gave workable ideas and was helping the group for the proper execution of them. In lecturette, I spoke on ” The roles and achievement of DRDO” for 2 min 30 sec. The last activity for the day was GOR, my favorite. My group chose ” Vande Matram” as our war cry. We repeated the first obstacle and lagged behind all the groups. we tried to cover up in the next obstacles. I was the first one to climb the wall with the help of my group and helped all the members to climb. We completed the GOR on time.  When we returned to the lines, I was informed about my interview which was scheduled 2 hours later. When I entered into the PI room, the interviewer asked me about my day at the field. As I literally enjoyed the day, I told him that I was excited to do all sort of ground activities. Then he started rapid fire round in which he asked me about my education, family, my interests and hobbies, the games I played and technical questions regarding to my field. He asked me questions in a very firm way and even mocked me few times. He was constantly trying to pressurize me by using sentences like ” Don’t tell this answer to a 10th grade student, otherwise he will think this girl is stupid” etc. My interview lasted for 45 – 50 minutes. When I came out of the interview room, I was not satisfied with my performance as I got stuck in GK questions and few questions related to Indian defense services. I tried to keep a positive attitude for the next test. The next day was GTO day 2. The remaining 3 tests were conducted which started with IOR. I was a little bit nervous about it. We were given a demo and I observed it very carefully. The most important part of it was how to hold the ropes in various obstacles. I did 7 obstacles most of which involves rope and jumping. In the CT, I was called 3 times. Before my command task, GTO had a short interaction with me for 5 minutes regarding my background, the reason behind choosing defense services as a career and my qualities which make me suitable to be a part of Indian Army. The last task was the FGT which our group completed in 2 minutes and we were relieved. After coming back to the lines, we went to the internet lab to find the answers to the questions that jumbled us in order to get prepared for the conference.

The next day was 19th June, the last day of our stay and the conference day. I had decided that I will keep myself positive during the whole process and whatever the decision may be. My turn came after 20 minutes the conference started. I went inside and wished the president of the board. The officer which was my interviewer asked me about my stay at the board and how do I like it. When I told him that I learned few things which I would like to inculcate in myself, he fired me with the question that ” State any 2 things which you have learned.” I answered him honestly and was sent out. We had our lunch after conference and results were declared around 14:00 hrs. The officer declaring result asked us that whom we think will get recommended. I confidently took the name of chest no. 29 who was a very deserving candidate. The first chest number called out was chest number 11 who was admitted in MH. The next chest number was mine, chest number 12. I was numb and didn’t get up from my seat for few seconds. Then I realized that I heard the chest no. correctly, I went ahead. 8 out of 35 candidates were recommended. We stayed back there for 5 more days for medicals. I got the temporary rejection for my carrying angle (CUBITUS VALGUS). I selected Base Hospital Delhi Cantt for the review appeal. I reported there on 27th July. The officials asked us to report back on the next day. In the evening while we were shopping in Chandani Chowk, I come to know that our merit list was out. The moment I opened the list and saw my name on the top in my stream, I had tears of joy in my eyes. Now all the hopes were on clearing the medical. The next day I was declared medically fit at BHDC by 16:00 hrs and this is how I get a chance to serve the motherland.

By keeping oneself honest, logical and positive, one can easily make it through the SSB. Best wishes to all the aspirants!

0
Bhagguram Maurya 1

Subedar Major Bhagguram Maurya, retired Jawan of Indian Army living in Himarampur village near Banaras, gave a village-length road gift to his village on the occasion of 70th Independence Day. He has used his hard earned which he got after his retirement from the Indian army. The estimated money to construct the road was around Rs 4,00,000.

Subedar Major Bhagguram Maurya became part of the Indian Army in 1978 and served the country till 2012. He got the medal from President Abdul Kalam in 2002 and President Pranab Mukherjee in 2012.

Before the construction, the condition of the road condition was very bad, after the construction many accidents have also declined. Whenever a vehicle used to pass through this road, dust was clouded. This is the reason that he made the road connecting Babatpur with Rajatalab with the money of his pension. He has invested 4 lakh rupees for the construction of this road.

Now SM Bhagguram Maurya and the rural resident are demanding to install Interlocking Tiles on the road from the Panchayat so that the path becomes better and safer. He told the English newspaper Hindustan Times, “Now I have no money left, otherwise, I would buy them by buying Interlocking Tiles and putting them on. I request the Minister of State for Public Works, Surendra Patel, to arrange interlocking tiles so that the road gets better. I hope they will definitely help us. ”

6 Last Minute Preparation Tips For AFCAT 2 2019 Exam

6 Last Minute Preparation Tips For AFCAT 2 2017 Exam

AFCAT 2 2018 is scheduled to be conducted in Aug 2019. The candidates, who are targeting it, would have covered almost entire syllabus. But revising the entire syllabus at the last moment is not a wise act. Rather going through a crisp segment of the syllabus can ease the last moment preparations. So, here are some last moment preparation tips for the AFCAT aspirants to score well in the Exam.

6 Last Minute Preparation Tips For AFCAT 2 2019 Exam

  1. Current affairs – Current affairs need to be covered compulsorily. This part is easy to cover and GK section has significant part composed of it. The awards and honors, books and authors, new appointment, national and international affairs etc can be easily covered.

  2. The reasoning is the scoring part – The reasoning part of the AFCAT is the easiest and scoring part of the exam. The candidates must give their best in it, especially in non-verbal reasoning, which needs a bit practice and some close observations.
  3. Practice for antonyms and synonyms – Just try to commemorate them in an easy and casual way. When you prepare for them, you will find it easy to attempt this section of English.
  4. Formulas in maths – Go through all the maths formulas that are the part of the syllabus of the exam. The maths section of AFCAT is the scoring part. But to do more in less time, the candidates must commemorate the formulas of the topics covered in the syllabus. The syllabus of maths in AFCAT is not too complex or lengthy as compared to the other defense exams like NDA and CDS. So going through these formulas will make the score go high.
  5. Practice papers – Practice papers, previous papers, sample papers etc. Makes the candidates prepared for the exam. It is to check the time management, strategy making, and to check the level of the exam. Attempt as many as you can in this gap till your exam.
  6. GK one liners – The questions in GK part of the AFCAT are asked directly. The candidates might be having a perfect knowledge of their basic subjects. But having the basic knowledge of the other subject can bring your marks up. Science students must go through the overview of the history, polity, geography and similarly, art students must have the basic knowledge of physics, chemistry, and biology to a requisite level.
Some other tips that will help the aspirants in scoring more are
    – Make a plan of attempting the sections as per your aptitude.
    – Attempt only those questions which are in the circle of your knowledge.
    – Don’t stick to tough questions. Move to next and check the left problems if you get time after attempting the paper.

Conclusion – The last moment preparation steps always brings the best part of the exam. But keeping the last moment preparation organized and simple can only bring the expected results. Moreover, managing the preparation steps according to your aptitude will make the work effect more. So follow the above points and bring your best in the upcoming exam.
All the best.

10 Solid Tips To Crack CDS Exam

The armed forces aspirants have several opportunities to join their dream service. But NDA and CDS are those opportunities which give the option of choosing any of the three services through a single door. CDS exam is just a few months ahead and the candidates would be preparing for it. Time is less and the work to do is more. But working strategically and preparing smartly can make the work. Below are some tips that will help the aspirants in clearing CDS  exam.

10 Solid Tips To Crack CDS Exam

  1. Prepare for your best subject – The candidates must prepare for those subjects over which they have a good hold. The General Ability paper is a mixture of questions from almost all subjects. It is hard to score maximum in G.A. But for keeping a moderate performance in it, the candidates must give their best to the questions of their subjects, which they have studied in graduation or 12th.
  2. Keep one paper as scoring – The three papers i.e. English, G.A., and Mathematics should be tackled strategically. Keep at-least one paper as scoring and try to score above the sectional cut-off in the other two.
  3. Antonyms and Synonyms are also scoring – The Antonyms and Synonyms in the English section are always seen as a hurdle and candidates usually leave them due to lack of knowledge. Rather they should prepare for it as these are the easiest thing and can be prepared very easily by commemorating 4-5 antonyms and synonyms per day.
  4. Current Affairs are the key – The current affairs of last 4-5 months in the scoring part of the G.A. These are the prefixes and are easily available in periodicals or date provided over the internet. So preparing them can raise the score in General abilities.
  5. Stay away from questions out of aptitude – The negative marking of 1/3 can bring the score down. So candidates must not tick those questions which are out their knowledge. Just mark those on which you have confidence.
  6. Score more in the simple parts – There are simple parts in all the three papers. Like passages and sentence rearrangements in English, some basic question in GK and some easy calculative question in Mathematics. Try to give your best in those parts.
  7. Stay cool in GS paper – The G.S. paper is the most critical part of the exam. Most of the candidates loose the opportunity of CDS due to the G.S. paper as English and Mathematics are not too hard to attempt and scoring above the cutoff is not too hard in these 2 papers. The candidates must pay attention to this paper and must fight for every mark in this paper.
  8. Practice for Mathematics – Mathematics is all about your written practice. Several types of questions are framed over a single formula. These can only be solved if you have a prior practice of it. Try to solve maximum questions in given time.
  9. Sample papers and previous year papers – The previous year papers and sample papers of the UPSC exams – CDS, NDA and CAPF exams will give you the hint of the types of questions that you will face in the CDS exam. Sometimes these questions are repeated. In that case, it will be your plus point.
  10. Time management – The time in English is appropriate to complete the entire paper. While in the case of GK, the time is much more than required to solve it. Mathematics paper need time management as the paper has a lot of calculation to do and the question belongs to a long list of topics. So manage time as per your aptitude, preparation, and knowledge.cds exam book
