Here’s All That You Should Know About The US-Israel Arms Deal

0
US-Israel Arms Deal

Hello, Warriors! At the wake of Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s visit to the US this week, the leaders will hold discussions over a $30bn military aid package to Israel and try to put their increasingly bitter disagreements behind them.

Although there were occasions when they’ve had disagreements and that’s well known about this past year, particularly around the Iranian negotiations, it’s clear that long-standing disputes between Israel and The US seemed to be forgotten.

Here are the key points of the latest Israel-US arms deal:

  1. A 10-year military aid package signed under the Bush Administration is set to expire in 2017, and US President Barack Obama made clear that a new decade-long package was a top priority.
  2. The talks are expected to put in place a package of $30 billion, worth substantially more than the expiring one though Israel was looking for at least $50 billion over the next 10 years.
  3. US officials had previously suggested the deal would be in the $36-$37 billion range.US-Israel Arms Deal
  4. In addition to the new decade-long package, the US and Israel are also negotiating a one-off deal as reparations for Israel’s objections to the Iran nuclear deal, a package which itself is expected to be worth several billion dollars.
  5. Israel is also concerned about the progress of a deal under which Russia would sell Iran its S-300 anti-aircraft system, expected to be concluded next year.
  6. Israel, therefore, in particular, will ask for more F-35 fighter jets, more F-15 fighters and the V-22 Osprey, a vertical take-off and landing plane from the US.
  7. The F-35 is the only aircraft able to counter the S-300 surface to air missile system.
  8. Israel may also seek to ensure that other US allies in the region do not get the F-35 aircraft.

However, the deal will not be finalized during the post-row summit this year and would come into effect only after the current accord expires in 2017.

Recommended For Indian Army SSB 18 Allahabad TGC 122 Experience

2
tgc indian army recommended candidate

Starting from Anand vihar (Delhi) Station on 19th Oct 2015, I took leave from my work, thanks to my Manager who approved me one, embarking on a journey which a hundred dreams of but only few get a chance to actually live it.
The train journey of 10 long Hours ended at Allahabad station. A fresh air welcomed me to Allahabad with open hands.
“Not a bad start,” I said to myself.

Day 1:

A total of 260 candidates reported on the very first day for TGC 122 on the scheduled time 0600 hrs. At Allahabad 18 SSB board. Next we were asked to stand in a queue and the Board staff started with the initial level formalities by checking our original matric certificate, ID proof and TGC online application. The candidates having discrepancies in any of the IDs or forms were asked to correct it.
After the verification is done, we were separated on the basis of Fresher’s (who never appeared SSB), Fresher’s screened out (Who appeared SSB before but never make it up to conference i.e. screened out guys) and the third line for Repeaters (conference out candidates).

I was in Fresher’s screened out since I once appeared SSB in NSB Coimbatore for UES entry (But lucky me If God shuts one door, He opens another and I was standing again for the same opportunity, same goal with same dream).
We were allotted with a chest number, which is basically an alias for a candidate’s name. You are required to wear it till your stay in the board. You will not be called by your names but your chest number, I got chest number 101.
I was quiet nervous but yeah being from technical background OIR test ended out to be a cakewalk and I finished the test within the stipulated time. Next, the round was for PP and DT (Picture perception and Discussion test). It was clearly visible that the story was related to three police officers and one small boy sitting on an elephant in a park. I wrote the story within keeping the very important instructions in my mind given by Psych officer (Teachers open the doors, but you must enter by yourself since instructor clearly gave hint that your story should be related to the picture only and should contain past present and future of the situation which is been shown in the picture) I wrote a proper concise story with proper solution to the problem within given time.
My description of the story went like clockwork spot on and precise with a proper conclusion. And to my joy when the result came I was screened in and allotted with new chest number 15 for next level. In fact 30 of us were screened in for the next round (Conclusion what matters the most is how you are able to describe things in the given time .Written material doesn’t matter much if the description is nice and lucid). A major thing that happened and to which I reacted very calmly was, all guys were almost fighting for the conclusion by emphasizing on their own narrated stories but to this I acted smartly and was simply sitting and asking others to please one by one say your points, at first nobody was listening to me but somehow I managed to put forward my points in the way I wanted.tgc indian army recommended candidate

Day 2

The Day2 was for the Psychological test (The Trailblazers).  No doubt it is the most important test. But I won’t write the whole process thing because I’m sure each one of you knows the basic ritual. I want to tell you what’s the basic decorum I followed; “Quality over quantity.”

In TAT I attempted all the stories well and in the blank slide I wrote about an inspirational event from my own life.
WAT, to my surprise, I attempted all 60 questions. It felt good. I was now a bit motivated that I can handle this exam. But, I was able to do only 36 SRTs as my sentences were too long, which shouldn’t have happened. But, as I already said, what matters is “Quality over quantity”. I was not being fake and wrote what came into my mind instantly.

Same day, I got my interview scheduled with the Deputy President. With a confident look on my face I entered the room. The IO asked me to sit. The distance between me and him being approximately 10 feet’s.

IO – Interviewing officer

Me: ok let me think… thoda socha and bola ..she is more Joyful and lively than me if I’m 100% she is 101%

IO: Tell me 3rd also

Me: Sir I have never think of it and didn’t find such differences too since we grow up under the same shade.

IO : I am not saying did you think of it ever or there are such differences exist or not I am asking you to think right away, Or I accept it as you are not able to think it

Me: No sir it’s not like that

Io: then tell 3rd

IO: your best friend.

ME: He must know better this sir

IO: I am asking you tell me

ME: he wanted me to drop my current job and appear for only defense since I am crazy about this.

IO: why army

Me: Defense dream, good pay, respect, disciplined and organized life what I like the most, professionalism, platform to represent your country

IO: Hypothetically if you won’t be allowed to join forces ever than what you will do?

Me: Will continue with my current job and will grow like a good leader for the organization as soon as possible.

IO: how much your brother is older to you?

Me: sir he is younger to me not older.

IO: oh ok then tell me how much younger.

IO: Shortcomings of your dad.

Me: Nothing he is perfect and god to me …….he spent around 60% of his income on me and my sibling’s education.

IO: Your weakness Akash?

Me: Sir would like to improve my communication skills and natural nervousness before any interview.

IO: But you have studied in very good school why your skills are weak.

Me: sir I got English education there not skills, Skills one need to set by own with day to day improvement and I am improving my communication skill day by day and still not satisfied so progress is in process.

IO:  ok thanks Akash nice to talk to you. All the best for next rounds.

ME: same here sir nice to meet you thanks.

Interview took around 40 minutes.
DAY 3

The best thing about SSB is the Group Task Series! The first task is Group Discussion. Listen more talk sense, give valid points and support valid points, reinforce them, avoid altercations with other candidates and you’ll sail through smoothly. It does not matter how much you speak, the quality of what you speak matters the most.3-4 times will do the trick. For the group task if you have the leadership quality in you and the good problem solving capabilities you’ll naturally know how to tackle them. Enjoy the tasks and you will make it. GOR (Group obstacle race) Coming first is not the theme but moving together and helping each other is the purpose. Lecturette, if you are sync with your group mates you’ll be comfortably able to speak to them as you stand there for your Lecturette never look at the assessors. Be confident and this comes to you naturally if you are good friends with your batch mates. Camaraderie should run deep if you don’t have this basic OLQ I feel army is not meant for u buddy.

Day 4

This day was my favorite day as we were taken to perform in the individual obstacle tasks. I did eleven tasks and repeated Tarzan Swing. The main strategy here is you stamina and the sequence in which you select the obstacle you want to do first.
Next were HGT and the command tasks. I did it well with the help of my two sub ordinates. Our group’s FGT was not that good, as everyone was fighting among themselves and suggesting their own ideas which were obviously, conflicting. I had a bad feeling that this might have a negative effect on our group’s performance.
DAY 5

Conference Day

Each one of us tidied up for the conference. We waited for our turns to come. My turn came. It was a pleasure seeing every officer suited up in their respective uniforms but I focused on my IO the president who sat in the middle. He asked me about my stay and accommodation’s, to which I answered, “The place is good and the stay here was too good.” He asked me to leave I said thank you and left.
The Psychologist office came and gave a pep up speech and ready to announce the result.

Heartbeat raised up with the time officer was taking to open the file for result list and suddenly looked upward towards the candidates and said gentlemen please stand up whose chest number I will call and come forward.

Next he said, “Ok gentlemen (looking towards us just like finding someone missing in big crowd) calling Chest Number One Five Fifteen, I said yes sir and stood up.
Officer: “Your name?”
Me: Akash sir

Officer: Full name

Me: “Akash Kumar Sir,’
Officer:  come forward.

Numb, I was. I was so surprised that I couldn’t feel much

I stood there and waiting for the next name but officer said
“This is it,” he said and left.

I was on cloud nine! I was the only one recommended.
I felt sad because I met many gem of a people out there at the SSB made friends who would’ve made it but fell short due to some or the other things, I felt sad for them.
But, in the end I made it and trust me it was the best feeling in the world.

Medical day:

Make sure you are full filling all the medical standards what they looked for in a candidate to meet their requirements (You can check it out on Internet for the same)

For me it went well I was medically fit thanks to almighty god and my regular exercise in day to day life despite of busy working schedule but few of my friends who were their recommended for different entries like SSC tech, NDA and TES got TR (temporary rejection) in medical exam like Valgus, Hypertension, DNS, wax in ear

Medical took 5 more days after SSB.

 Tips:

Set your document folder with what SSB center have asked you for in SSB call letter, don’t miss out anything. Be ready with all the dresses what they have asked (GTO, Formal, Shoes) A well-dressed men with good behavior is gentleman and that’s what they demand for, Read medical standards carefully.

Fill your PIQ with only what you actually are no fakeness nothing extra would work out, if you don’t write any extra achievement also they won’t reject you if you have it in you, Your interview will be based on your PIQ.

Take coaching only if you are not aware of the process or you are new to SSB (I didn’t take any coaching rather I focused on internet material and books only just to get aware of the dos and don’ts of the process)

listen to the instructor very carefully.

Self-introspection, confidence, smiling/calm face throughout the SSB process and an average English is good enough you to achieve your goal to become an officer and serve for your country.

It’s not about winning by defeating other candidates, It’s about winning with your own personality so be calm in GD’s and any other group exercise.

Work on your physical and mental shortcomings much prior to SSB if you have noticed one.

Overweight, underweight, hypertension, wax in ear, DNS are common on which one could get TR, make sure to treat them before SSB or else one can appeal to command or RR hospital within 42 days.

Agni IV Missile: The New Face Of Nuke-Mounted India

0
Agni IV Missile

Hello, Warriors! In the modern warfare, the number of nukes possessed by a country is a major deciding factor of its power. Luckily, India is one of the countries that possess nukes.

And… with big bombs, come big carriers!

Indian army successfully conducted the user trial of surface-to-surface nuclear capable missile Agni-IV, first of its kind in the world. The successful test of Agni-IV took India’s level of deterrence, its preparedness, and effectiveness to newer heights.

It was launched from a defence base off the Odisha coast making the weapon ready for its series of production.

Here’s all that you need to know about the Agni IV missile and its induction in the army:

  1. This was sixth test of the missile. It was first tested on December 10, 2010 which had failed while its second, third, fourth and fifth tests on November 15, 2011, September 19, 2012, January 20 and December 2, 2014 were successful.
  2. The Agni missile is a family of medium to intercontinental range missiles. They are long range, nuclear weapons capable, surface to surface ballistic missile.Agni IV Missile
  3. Agni-IV, earlier known as Agni II prime, is the fourth in the Agni series of missiles.
  4. The first missile of the series, Agni-I was developed under the Integrated Guided Missile Development Program (IGMDP) and tested in 1991. After its success, Agni missile program was separated from the IGMDP upon realizing its strategic importance. It was designated as a special program in India’s defence budget and provided adequate funds for subsequent development.
  5. It withstood soaring temperatures of more than 3,000 °C when tested earlier in 2011 and 2012. With a range of 3,000–4,000 km, Agni-IV bridges the gap between Agni II and Agni III.
  6. Agni IV can take a warhead of 1 ton. It is designed to increase the kill efficiency along with a higher range performance.
  7. The surface to surface Agni-IV missile having 4000 km strike range is 20 meter long and weighs 17 ton.
  8. Agni IV is also equipped with state-of-the-art technologies, that include indigenously developed ring laser gyro and composite rocket motor, 5th generation On Board Computer and distributed architecture.
  9. It has the latest features to correct and guide itself for in-flight disturbances. Sounds more like iron man of the Indian Army, doesn’t it?
  10. It is a two-stage missile powered by solid propellant. It can be fired from a road mobile launcher, making it more efficient.

So, with the Iron man of India Army ready to take up its reigns, we can be rest assured of our safety and get back cracking  those SSBs, for, these toys are ours only to be played tomorrow.

Good Luck!

10 Must Have Bucket List Items For A Defence Aspirant

1
defence aspirants

Hello, Warriors! Every one of us wants to do something thrilling, something adventurous at least once in our lives. And if you are a part of the Indian Armed Forces, then you have all the chances to make your wishes come true.

As the saying go- “Dreams don’t come true unless you start dreaming”, many have a variety of to-dos in their bucket lists-from clearing the entrance exam to the forces to killing at least one bad guy/terrorist.

A bucket list without a destination is like a bucket without a handle—it just goes nowhere. So, here are some items that you, as an adventure freak defence aspirant can add to your bucket list today:

  1. Joining the Armed Forces: If you haven’t yet made it to the Army, Navy or the Air Force, this is the first thing you need to add to your list. This first thing should have the highest priority and one must work towards it whole heartedly.
  2. Run a Marathon: Come on aspirants, brace yourselves up for this. 42.2 kilometers of non-stop running. Push your limits and discover yourself as to how far you can go.
  3. Bungee Jump from the highest peak: Nothing sounds more daring than to just lose yourself free and, just, JUMP. Just jump from the height having faith in just a rope tied to you. Jump, let it go. You will see yourself in a new light after this.defence aspirants
  4. Dive in an Ocean: We all have dived from varying heights in a swimming pool (had we?). How about climbing a cliff and then jumping in an ocean? As interesting as it may sound, it is as daring. Try at your own risk!
  5. Around the world in 80 days: If you say your father is in the defence and you love travelling, then this is the perfect item in the bucket list for you. Explore various places, meet new people and enjoy life in a whole new light.
  6. Scuba Diving: Flown from skies, conquered land, what next? Why not try exploring the seas? Oceans make up for earth’s 71% surface and 300% more life than on land. This means that you get to make new friends under water and who knows, you may also come across The Atlantis!
  7. Sky Diving: While a bungee jump gives you a gist of being under free fall, sky diving a three in one experience. You get to fly in an aircraft, jump from the sky and use a parachute. Sounds pretty cool, isn’t it?
  8. Volunteer for a good work: Being an officer is all about being a gentle and kind hearted person. Sponsor a child’s education, help someone in need or do whatever makes you feel good. The feeling after it would be unthinkable.
  9. Fly in a hot-air balloon: Ever thought of flying high in the sky with just a meter or two in length of walls surrounding you? Unlike aeroplanes, you feel like a free bird flying wherever you want.
  10. Keep visiting us: “At the end of the day, don’t forget what you are, the rest of the world will not; wear it like armor and it can never be used to hurt you.”-Tyrion Lannister But the point is, be you and keep visiting ssbcrack.com for more motivation.

Recommended For Indian Coast Guard | A Tale With A Twist

1
Indian Coast Guard SSB Interview Experiene

Life is full of shocks. Whatever wish you ask god, god will give you, but neither in excess, nor less than what you asked or deserved. Till now I have given 2 SSB’s, one for Indian Navy and other one for Indian Coastguard. For Indian Navy I got screened out and in ICG I was recommended. My journey started with Indian Navy UES entry. It held in month of February 2015. There I got screened out.  I will share that experience next time.

Now the next SSB was for Indian Coastguard. ICG has a bit different procedure for SSB. First a PSB (Preliminary selection Board) is done at any of the 4 centres as per your choice-Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai and Noida.

My PSB Centre was in Mumbai. Regarding PSB I would just say that except the initial MCQ test, rest is easy. The first MCQ that is taken is bit tough, thanks to time constraint for an individual section, this gets tougher. So out of my 70 candidates, only 23 got passed to next level, i.e PPDT. This PPDT is just same as of normal SSB screening PPDT. We were divided in two groups-11 & 12 candidates each. Regarding PPDT, I would suggest you to prepare some of sample pictures prior to coming. By this you will understand what kind of English you are expected to write and speak. Fluent English is not a criteria for getting selected, but this somehow shows your level of confidence. In my GD, 2 candidates even narrated their story in Hindi. Out of we 23, in the evening 8 got screened in. The afternoon batch i.e 12 o’clock batch had their PPDT on next day and as mine was morning 8 AM batch, that’s why we got freed in one day itself.

Now after PSB, next stage is FSB (Final Selection Board). FSB occurs at only one place, Noida at the ICG HQ. This is same as of normal SSB procedure after screening, but there is no outdoor GT.recommended for Indian Coast Guard

Mine Reporting Date was 24th august.

Reporting day: At 1400hr we were made to assemble in a hall and 3 personals sat in front of us. Out of 135, total of only 63 reported. On that day only document verification and room allocation was done. One suggestion is ICG take very seriously regarding document-certificates. So make everything up to date. Yes if something is missing, they give ample amount of chance and nobody is sent back without testing. In the evening our mobiles were taken, and bio-metric test was done. Then we were divided into group of 10 candidates each randomly. A goup leader was made and he was given responsibility for collecting payment regarding bedding and food. I don’t remember exactly the amount but about Rs.900 were asked for everything, plus Rs.500 security money which will be refunded on 4th night. We all were told to report at exactly 0800hr next day for tests.

Day 1: Psychological test were scheduled for all of us in the morning. These tests were same as of normal SSB. So I would suggest you to prepare your fingers-hands to write quickly as that would help during these psychological tests. Here I would like to give bit suggestion for TAT(Thematic Appreciation Test). There would be 11 slide and 1 blank slide. If in doubt regarding making story, then look at the character in picture and think yourself in the picture as an officer. You will easily make up a story (brilliant story). Mine group was B group, so on the same day in afternoon, we had group-tasks also. GPE was a disaster for our group. We were unable to come up on common solution. Some of us were even unable to understand the problem. Seriously I would suggest you, kindly prepare some GPE before attending SSB. Understand the procedure for writing GPE. Next it was time for Group discussion.

1st topic was- In Making India developed country which has more role: Education, agriculture, military or market.

2nd topic was- Who is responsible for increase in rate of crime against women.

During GD, don’t try to be over-smart or dominating. This ruins your personality. Try to listen more, and speak at least 2-3 times with a valid and strong point. Don’t ever look towards the accessor. After the GD, it was lecturette. You are asked to pick a card on which 4 topics were written. You have to choose 1 and speak for 3 min. Now If you become nervous before speaking at public, then I would suggest you to start speaking in front of mirror. This will improve your confidence and whenever you are speaking look into the eyes of listener. Now again, while lecturette don’t look toward the accessor. Your group mates should be your listeners. I spoke on “sports as a career”. Rest of the topics was also very easy and an average student can easily speak for 3 minutes. After the GT, were asked to leave at about 1700. That was done for the day.

Day 2 & 3: Two complete days my group was totally free. We visited every single tourist place in Delhi.

Day 4: Interview day. There were total 3 officers who were taking interview. One was board president himself, and two were deputy president. Out of these two, one was a technical officer (mine interviewer) and other was an executive branch officer. Interview was totally smooth and much of a like teacher-student talks. In between he even scolded me. He said “you are very ignorant person.” I knew he was not seriously saying, but he was just trying to make me uncomfortable and under pressure. Here I will give you one suggestion, focus on the questions of rapid round questions. Try to focus on order of the question and try to answer as per order only. If in doubt, don’t fear and ask the officer. After some 3 rapid-questions round, he gave up (I was not following the order) and told me “I am giving you 5 min,say whatever you want to say.” Now this was my golden egg chance. I spoke very confidently about everything that is related to my life. Now if you come upon this type of situation, then do remember to speak something about yourself. The officer is just observing your confidence and speaking level. Mine interview went for 45 min (longest in my group).

Day 5 (D-DAY): Conference was somehow making me nervous as it was my first time.

In conference hall, 13 officers in white sparkling uniform were sitting on a semi-round table. I greeted the board president, he was sitting in centre. He smiled at me and the officer who took my interview asked me to sit. He again asked me some SRT regarding ships (as everybody knew I was a marine engineer). After SRT, he asked me “if I am asked to rank up in ascending order according to performance in each test you gave in last 4 days, then what will be your ranking ?”

I ranked my PI as 3rd and with a huge smile the officer asked me why?  I told him regarding the ignorance shown by me. (Please don’t hide your shortcomings. They will find everything. Just be truthful and accept it.) After hearing to me, board president and my interviewer nodded to each other and I was asked to disperse. My conference also went for 15min (longest in whole batch).Indian Coast Guard SSB Interview Experiene

After 2 hours of long wait, results were declared. Out of 63, 13 got recommended.  I was also recommended. From my group-B, total of 4 were recommended. Yes the worst group in GT was having the most number of recommendations.  Many of my friends were not selected. I was happy but also in my heart feeling sad for them.

Now on that day it took nearly furthermore 2hrs for just filling up forms and other documents. At 1800hrs we were told to report Delhi base hospital after 2-3 days as per your convenience. Actually ICG don’t mentor the medicals and they don’t even escort you to base hospital. You have to yourself get all your medicals cleared up at delhi base hospital. Only our documents are sent ahead of us to base hospital.

It took nearly 1 week for all tests to get over. On 1st day we did ENT, Dental and Xray-USG. First shock of my life I got here on that day. In USG, report came out that I have a congenital hypoplastic kidney disorder. Here doctor told me to show this report to nephrology department on OPD. Now I didn’t much-paid heed to it and continued my further tests. Next day blood-urine samples were given, ECG and surgical checkup was done. After that we were told to report R & R hospital for eye test. Actually base hospital doesn’t have advanced apparatus and free time to take our different eye test. At R&R hospital, it hardly took 2hrs to get over with all eye tests. Our reports were sent to base hospital and doctor approved all this. And next it was nephrology OPD in base hospital. I went there and showed my reports to the nephrologist. Senior nephrologist after doing checkup and checking my BP, told me that I am not fit for joining defense. For about 8-10 seconds it made me complete blank. I dreamt of seeing myself in defense uniform from past 6 years, from my school days. But with a single blow, what god gave me just 5 days back, took back return. Somehow I gathered myself and walked out. I showed up my reports to staff surgeon (Here for ICG no medical conference is done, staff surgeon himself call individually and checks the report and approves it). He read everything, saw my reports and gave condolences. I was not listening to him; I just wanted to run away from Delhi and return to my home. After submitting my documents, I immediately booked my train and returned to home. The name of Delhi still haunts me and reminds me that I have lost my dream there.

Life is full of surprises. Don’t get dishearten if your dream is broken up. If you don’t get your dream job (as you think it as a dream), then believe me that you deserve better than that. God is thinking better for you and you were trying to adjust for below his expectations.

Hello friends, I am PRASHANT KUMAR SINGH.

“Even if we don’t have the POWER to choose where we come from, WE can still choose where we go from there”

I don’t know who said it, but I do know that words are effective in my life. I did my schooling from SAINIK SCHOOL GHORAKHAL, NAINITAL. I cleared my NDA 124 written and cleared my SSB from 11 SSB ALLAHABAD but got medically unfit in 2010 February. But with only 62 % in 12th I took a drop year and tried to introspect myself about coming challenges. My family was always there to support me in every condition and maybe that was the reason I  decided to take engineering as career. I joined NRI INSTITUTE in BHOPAL in 2011. I checked INDIAN ARMY WEBSITE regularly for upcoming entries.

In third year I cleared my UES college level selection but skipped the ssb because my GATE 2015 was approaching. My motive was clear, focus on current career. As a result of which I cleared my GATE exam with help of my teachers from college and my friends Selveen and Rambahor from college. I got 343 GATE SCORE. As the final year paper were about to end I applied for TGC 122. I had an aggregate CGPA of 8.23 in graduation from mechanical so I was sure of ssb call letter.

After my final paper was over I decided to prepare for ssb and the first step was, frankly admitting to parents about the fear of failure I had. My father told me that, take this chance to prove yourself that five years ago you cleared ssb because you have certain qualities not by luck. This proved to be the catalyst in my preparation. My friend PRIYANKA SHRIVASTAVA also played an important role by supporting me in my decisions. In fact I would suggest all the aspiring candidates to share everything with parents and loved ones as it helps getting a support and it also makes you feel confident about facing the ssb.Recommended For Indian Army TGC 122 From 24 SSB Bangalore

My preparation was basically focused around the introspection and the changes in me that took place in 5 year. My communication skills were still good but GK and GS needed a lot of improvement .I started reading newspapers editorial pages, kept myself up to date by help of internet. I made daily notes about news. For TAT and WAT I did random practice, I took any random word and made story. I was previously recommended so I focused on negative words for WAT. For SRT I just tried to be true to myself by putting myself in that situation.

For GTO I just played football and cricket for physical fitness.

Now I will start sharing my experience about my ssb. As soon as I got my interview date of 16th October 2015 at Banglore , I booked my tickets in Rajdhani Express from Bhopal. On 14th morning, I boarded the train and reached destination on 15th . I reached on railway station next day in afternoon. By evening, all the candidates were at selection centre.

Next day after the OIR test we all were given a picture of 2 people sitting facing each other on a table. I perceived one of them as a girl and made my story around organizing cultural event in college and showed girl as lead character. It does not matter who you make your hero all that matters is your narration and procedure used to solve the problem.

During the discussion just try to help your group by giving logic and supporting the common idea. Out of 259 only 37 got selected.

In the next day psychology test I performed well as I had prepared for most of it.  I did all the words all the SRT and wrote 11 line each SD. Everyone can perform good just do practice of writing.

In both the GD’s I initiated and spoke for 4 times in each GD. Topics can be of any field, just give good points and listen to others. In the GPE also I participated well and gave the final group plan. In individual obstacles I did all 10 in 3 minutes. Since I was previously selected candidate so I stood behind in FGT and HGT and tried to help group by giving ideas. In the CT I was called 3 times in group of 10. In the lecture also my preparation for GK helped me because the knowledge can be applied anywhere. Topics may vary but presentation of lecture can be practiced .

In the INTERVIEW  I was asked about changes I faced since last attempt. How I prepared for GK . How I performed good in graduation. Relation of India with all the neighbors. Then I was asked many questions about technical field, like diff between SI and CI engine. How can I contribute to army being a mechanical engineer.

For the interview all I would advice is that try to know more about yourself. Talk to friends, girlfriend , family or anyone who knows you so that you can know where you lack and where you excel. After all interview is all about you. You should have clear logic for every answer you speak during interview. Being honest always helps you.

In the conference I was asked only 2 questions. How was the food and how was the facility for accommodation.

I replied “everything was fine sir”.

In the final result, only 6 got selected out of 37. I got recommended continuously 2nd time . This time from 24 SSB Bangalore. I was declared medically fit for ARMY and now I am waiting for merit next month.
