Terrorists Attack At Indian Air Force Base In Pathankot

IAF base

A group of terrorists, believed to be 4-5 in number, attacked the Pathankot Air Force base in Punjab early Saturday morning. Police confirmed that two terrorists have been killed by the armed forces. The encounter is reported to have started around 3:30 am.

According to initial reports, the incident is being linked to the missing car of a Punjab SP on Friday morning.  Last year, there had been a major attack in Gurdaspur which resulted in the death of three civilians and four policemen.

On Friday, a statewide alert was issued by the Punjab Police, and the Army’s units in Pathankot as well as the police in Jammu are also monitoring the situation.

SP Salwinder Singh, his friend Rajesh Verma, a jeweller, and Verma’s cook Madan Gopal were in the police officer’s SUV when they were allegedly waylaid by a group of five armed men in Army fatigues on the Pathankot-Jammu highway. In statements to the police, Singh and Verma said the men were carrying “heavy weapons”.

About three km from the spot where Salwinder alleged he and his accomplices were waylaid, the police also recovered the body of a man identified as a taxi driver, Ikagar Singh. A Toyota Innova belonging to Ikagar Singh was also found abandoned at a distance with one of its tyres punctured. The sarpanch of Ikagar’s village, however, said his car was found at the exact spot where the three men were allegedly waylaid.

Live Updates:

7:30 am: We are getting reports that NSG and Garud Commando Force are engaged with terrorists.

7:15 am: Early in July, the Army had sounded alerts about possible attacks in border areas following the attack in Gurdaspur.

5 Things Every Defence Aspirant Must Learn

0
defence aspirants

December is full of regrets, unfortunately… And it’s like load of whole 30 days has fallen on 31st over us…it’s like the struggle for thirty-third mark in an exam where 33% is passing criteria… But u know that you are  going to fail, be it by one marks or more than that, failure is failure…well not in case of everyone but yes the most of us do feel like that and that’s actually if we take it in a good way,is the best feeling that comes before hard work. “REGRET”, ” GUILT” and the feeling that “IT COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER”

But still the fresh breeze of hope do make us sway, the breeze of new hopes the breeze of new year. That’s another thing that we all know that it’s just the change of date and nothing is going to change, but parallelly as a human it’s our mindset that something has ended and you can’t do anything about it at all…and something new is about to begin, so focus on that.

Being an aspirant our prime focus should be on our aim, We are in the peak moment from where we can analyse our whole year. Here are some points you can focus upon while inspecting your work and introspecting yourself.

oir test and ppdt
  1. Your biggest mistake – Give it a thought that which was your worst mistake. Never run away from your mistakes, first rectify the worst one. Accept it even if you have to answer many stupid question because obviously dogs are always ready to bark, but they are one who remind you that you were not right so take advantage of that.
  2. Turn every outcome in your favour – As I said in my previous point don’t run away but accept your mistakes, and LEARN from it. People are going to throw stones in your way, it depends on our smartness that we are getting injured by that or we are making a bridge out of it. Choice is yours.
  3. Dominate your life: We often see people asking for advice and literally begging in front of others just to solve it, WHY??? because they don’t have audacity to take the responsibility. Yes, there are many problems which you can’t solve by yourself but at least don’t let your mind work like a layman when your heart is craving for being hero. Don’t ask others about your own weaknesses, they might know you for 5-10 years but yourself since the day you were born.
  4. Come out of your comfort zone – There was post on facebook that “Laziness is mother of all habits, and because she is mother we should respect her” :p “NO” don’t. One more was there “LIFE begins out of our comfort zone” (hmm…this one is better 🙂 ). So come out of your comfort zone and work hard.
  5. Enjoy– This is the most attractive one. Don’t forget to enjoy. No matter how bad your day is, take it easy and enjoy. There is saying that “SAZA KA MAZA LENA CHAHIYE” which indeed is true.

So, these are some of the points which I wanted to share, may our dream come true and may we RISE and SHINE.
Happy New Year guys, live it loud.

Indian Air Force Airman Got Honeytrap By ISI Agent

0
Indian Air Force Airmen Got Honeytrap By A ISI Agent

Ranjith KK, an Indian Air Force employee, got a Facebook friend request from a pretty woman based in the United Kingdom three years ago. He thought himself the luckiest of young men when the friendship took a spicy turn that included dirty talk late into the night. Already addicted to social media, the 30-something man began to remain online almost through the day for the woman, McNaught Damini, to come online and fulfil his fantasies.

McNaught’s profile on Facebook showed her to be a resident of Beeston, Leeds, an executive for an investigative magazine there. Ranjith, whose job as a lead aircraft man (LAC) was to help the technical crew look after the aircraft, was titillated by the intimate chatter made all the more naughty by the woman’s strong British accent. They soon moved from text chats to audio and photo exchanges on Whatsapp.

During one such tete-a-tete, McNaught seductively asked the Kerala man for some information on the IAF, ostensibly for the news magazine she worked for. She had earlier even interviewed him for the magazine, so an enamoured Ranjith thought nothing of divulging the info. In fact, he thought it a bonus when she said she would pay him for any material he passed to her.

One day, the woman asked him if he could give her some details about TAC-DE (Tactical and Combat Deployment Establishment) in Gwalior. He refused, knowing how strategically important this unit is to the IAF. He could as well have been hit by a missile, for the woman suddenly turned from coy to vicious, confronting him with recordings of the chats and documentation of the information he had shared earlier.

Too late, Ranjith realised he had become the latest victim of an ISI honeytrap. Threatened with exposure, he had no option but to pass on crucial IAF-related dope to an ISI handler he was introduced to. Every time he moved stations for training – Belgaum to Chennai, and lately to Delhi — the ISI dogged him, sometimes over Facebook and Whatsapp, but also via Skype.Indian Air Force Airmen Got Honeytrap By A ISI Agent

Thrice in Belgaum, six times in Chennai and also in Delhi, Ranjith leaked sensitive data on air force exercises, movement of aircraft and deployment of various flying units, his major lapse being supplying the position and other details of Mirage and fighter jets at TAC-DE.

Military Intelligence (MI) and Delhi Police caught up with him, and Ranjith was arrested on Monday, hours after the IAF dismissed him from service. Ravindra Yadav, joint commissioner of police, Crime Branch, revealed that the man had been under electronic surveillance for some months after MI sleuths had tracked communications between him and his handler. A few days ago, a police team led by ACP KPS Malhotra interrogated him at length in Bathinda. They brought him to Delhi, where he was formally arrested, completely wrecking Ranjith’s planned tryst on New Year’s Eve with his lady love at a luxury hotel in New Delhi.
