Indian Air Force has published the Admit card of Airmen Group X and Y online exam STAR 01/2020. The exam for the recruitment of Airmen under the STAR 01/2021 will be conducted from November 4 to November 8.
Official Statement: “NOTICE:- STAR 01/2020: Admit Cards of candidates with examination date on 04th & 5th November 2020 are available for download through candidate’s login on this web portal and it will also be sent on the registered email IDs of those candidates.”
Admit Card will be available for download through Candidate’s login 24 to 48 hrs prior to Date of Exam. The same would also be mailed on the registered email ID of the candidate. However, in order to ease your travel to the City of Exam, Exam Date and Name of Exam City’ of the candidate will be furnished in the candidate’s individual login on CASB web portal (https://airmenselection.cdac.in) and the email ID furnished by the candidate at the time of online registration by 22 Oct 20. After downloading the admit card, please verify its contents, read the INSTRUCTIONS, COVID-19 INSTRUCTIONS FOR CANDIDATES, PROTOCOL FOR MANAGEMENT OF ENTRY INSIDE THE EXAM CENTRE AND SELF DECLARATION FORM, which are to be strictly adhered to. Please carry a coloured print out of the Admit Card and Self declaration form along with other mandatory documents to the allotted Exam Centre as per the scheduled Date and Time, as given in the Admit Card.
Please refer corrigendum of STAR 01/2020 uploaded on CASB web portal (https://airmenselection.cdac.in). STAR 01/2020 e-Pariksha which was originally planned from 19-23 Mar 20 was cancelled due to outbreak of COVID-19. Online examination is planned pan India from 04 Nov 20 to 08 Nov 20. Candidates appearing for the test are advised to follow all COVID-19 instructions/ guidelines issued by Central/ State Governments from time to time. Further updates relevant to STAR will be uploaded on CASB web portal. Candidates are requested to follow the web portal regularly.
UPSC has published the CDS 2 2019 OTA Chennai Merit list for men and women. The following are the lists, in order of merit, in respect of 241 (*174 + ^67 ) candidates who have finally qualified on the basis of the results of the Combined Defence Services Examination (II), 2019 conducted by the Union Public Service Commission and Interviews held by the Services Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence for admission to the (i) *Officers Training Academy, Chennai, for 112th Short Service Commission Course (NT) (for Men) and (ii) ^Officers Training Academy, Chennai, 26th Short Service Commission Women (Non-Technical) Course, commencing in October, 2020. The list of 112th Short Service Commission Course (NT) (for Men) also includes the names of the candidates who were recommended earlier on the basis of the result of the same examination for admission to Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala and Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course(s).
The number of vacancies as intimated by the Government, for (I) 112th Short Service Commission Course (for Men) is 225 [(i) 171 vacs for SSC(Men) (NT) UPSC, (ii) 04 vacs for JAG (Men)(NT) October, 2020 Non UPSC and (iii) 50 vacs for NCC Special entry Non UPSC] and for (II) 26th Short Service Commission Women (Non-Technical) Course is 15.
The results of Medical Examination of candidates have not been taken into account in preparing the merit list. The candidature of all the candidates is Provisional. Verification of Date of Birth and Educational Qualification of these Candidates will be done by Army Head Quarter.
Candidates can also obtain information regarding results by accessing to UPSC website http://www.upsc.gov.in. However, marks of the candidates will be available within 15 days from the date of declaration of final results on Commission’s website for 30 days.

So here’s my story I would like to brief you all about. I come from a middle-class non-defence background with absolutely no familiarization at first hand. Having said that, the uniform was something I fell in love with, ever since I became aware of. It’s been a journey of highs and lows because after trying my hand on the same and not being able to succeed in the initial few attempts did make me upset.
There was a moment I could not understand a thing as to what had caused my failure. But that is the time, I suppose, brought me enlightenment and I started introspecting myself. I am thankful to God, and my beloved ones who had helped me keep faith in myself and motivated me to never give up and that attitude got me through.
I started giving more time to myself. An important thing that I learnt in all these months is to develop “dedication” and not an “obsession” for whatever your passion is! Obsession might end up giving you things you’ve always wanted but will never teach you to appreciate and respect what you are passionate about. And as the saying goes,” Give respect, take respect!” Hence, dedication is a must. Coming to the other phase of my journey, SSB Crack has helped me in keeping up with my motivation.

The first batch of women pilots of Indian Navy have been operationalized on Dornier Aircraft by the Southern Naval Command (SNC) at Kochi. The three women pilots were part of the six pilots of the 27th Dornier Operational Flying Training (DOFT) Course, who graduated as ‘Fully operational Maritime Reconnaissance (MR) Pilots’ at a passing out ceremony held at INS Garuda, Kochi on 22 Oct 20.
Rear Admiral Antony George, VSM, NM, Chief Staff Officer (Training) of SNC was the chief guest of the event and presented awards to the pilots who are now fully qualified on Dornier aircraft for all operational missions. The three women pilots of first batch are LieutenantDivya Sharma (from Malviya Nagar, New Delhi), LieutenantShubhangiSwaroop (fromTilhar, Uttar Pradesh) and Lieutenant Shivangi (fromMuzaffarpur, Bihar). These officers had initially undergone basic flying training partly with Indian Air Force and partly with the Navy prior to DOFT course. Amongst the three women pilots operationalized for MR flying, Lt Shivangi was the first to qualify as a naval pilot on 02 Dec 2019.
The course comprised of one month of ground training phase, which was conducted at various professional schools of SNC and eight months of flying training at the Dornier Squadron of SNC, INAS 550.Lt Divya Sharma & Lt Shivam Pandey were adjudged ‘First in Flying’ and ‘First in Ground’ subjects, respectively. TheFlag Officer Commanding-in-Chief (South) rolling trophy in memory of late Lt Simon George Pynomootil for the ‘Most spirited trainee’ was presented to Lt Kumar Vikram. This trophy was instituted on18 Jun 2019during the Diamond Jubilee Celebration of INAS 550 to immortalize the spirit of the officer who was a qualified Islander pilot and lost his life in a fatal air crash whilst serving the squadron on 17 May 1985.
