Talking of her experience, the fighter pilot said that she has been trained the same way as her male colleagues.

1002 Women Candidates Cleared NDA 2 2021, First Ever NDA Exam For Girls

In respect to the number of candidates who took the examination and how many women were successful, it is submitted that a total of 5,75,854 candidates applied for the exam and 3,57,197 candidates took the examination. “A total of 8,009 candidates, including 1,002 women candidates passed the NDA written examination held during November 2021. The Service Selection Board (SSB) is scheduled with effect from March-April 2022,” the affidavit stated.

In respect of the number of women to be inducted for ‘NDA-II 2021’ and ‘NDA-I 2022, it is submitted that each course at NDA has 370 vacancies for the three services out of which 208 will get commissioned in the Indian Army, 120 cadets will get commissioned in the Indian Air Force (IAF) and 42 will get commissioned in the Indian Navy.

How to prepare for the NDA Exam?

The Supreme Court on Tuesday granted time to the Centre till July to study the implication of induction and deployment of ex-National Defence Academy (NDA) women cadets in the Indian Armed Forces. A bench of Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul and MM Sundresh listed the matter for further hearing on July 19 and sought details of the study to be conducted.

The apex court observed that social revolution does not come overnight and takes time, while also refusing to deal with the issue of reserving seats for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and Other Backward Classes in the NDA at this stage.

“At present, we are not going to deal with the reservation of SC/ST or OBC at this stage but would only go into the issue of admissions of women in these education institutions which have been only for boys all along,” the bench told an intervenor seeking reserve seats.

The top court also took into note that the affidavit filed by the Centre yesterday which stated that induction of women cadets in NDA has been a major policy decision and it requires at least three months for deliberating implications in the long term for induction and deployment of ex-NDA women cadets in the Indian Armed Forces.

Centre has filed an affidavit in a PIL saying, “The induction of woman cadets in NDA has been a major policy decision. The respondents need sufficient time for deliberating implications in the long term for induction and deployment of ex-NDA women cadets in the Indian Armed Forces. It is, therefore, submitted that the respondents require at least three months additional time towards this.”

The affidavit was filed pursuant to the Apex court’s January 18 direction on a plea filed by advocate Kush Kalra about the data of the women who have appeared for the NDA-2021 examination and the number of women inducted.

Centre, while justifying the number of women cadets for all three forces, said that in respect of the Army, the ratio is to ensure that there is a younger profile and mobility of officer cadre, borne out of its operational role and tasks in difficult areas.

Officers commissioned through NDA have a major component of combat Arms and Women officers are not being inducted in combat arms, added the affidavit.

The Centre said that the average intake in the last four years of women officers in the eight arms and services has been up to 15 per cent of the total cadre strength.

“The Indian Army since has been simultaneously engaged in a large number of operational challenges, especially on Northern Borders which have effected permanent changes in deployment and various other operational facets requiring in-depth analysis and extrapolated impacts in cadre management to include women officers operational employment,” it added.

On January 18, the Supreme Court had sought response from the Centre regarding the intake of only 19 women candidates in the National Defence Academy and other military-run schools and colleges for the year 2022.

The Supreme Court had issued notice to the Centre after it was informed that 19 women candidates would be admitted in NDA out of total 370 seats. It had asked the Centre to make its stand clear on restricting the intake of women candidates in NDA to 19, the figure same as last year.

The apex court had asked the Central government to place the figures on record about the total number of candidates including women who have appeared in the NDA examination 2021, for entrance tests for Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC) and for Rashtriya Military School (RMS).

Counsel appearing for the petitioner, Kush Kalra, had told the Bench that even for the 2021 examination, the intake of women candidates was limited to 19 for the Army, Navy and Airforce.

Though the Centre had undertaken before the top court to put in place the infrastructural requirements for women candidates by May 2022, it has limited the number of intake to 19 candidates for this year also, the apex court was told.

Last year the apex court had directed that female aspirants be allowed to appear in the NDA entrance examination.

Cracked AFSB Interview In My 3rd Attempt From 4 AFSB Varanasi

1

I started for my 3rd SSB interview at 4AFSB, Varanasi from my hometown Darjeeling. I had high hopes this time like every time because SSBCrack’s Materials had given me the confidence to crack Psychology tests unlike in my previous attempts where TATs, WATs, SRTs & SD were a daunting task in the limited and intense environment of SSB.

I reported on 7th Feb at 4 AFSB at 6 am and after completing the process of document verification and temperature check our batch of 165 candidates were taken for breakfast and then at the testing hall where freshers and repeaters were segregated according to Date of Birth. This being my last attempt my Chest Number was second last.

spot_img

Verbal and Non Verbal Reasoning Test was held followed by PPDT, Narration & G.D. I excelled in all. And smoothly got Screened In. Thanks to SSBCrack for apt materials.

I along with 61 other candidates were taken to the Boarding room. Sonu Bhaiya’s fall-in is epic at 4AFSB. We boys had a good time.

After the rest of 1hr, we were told to report to the testing hall again where our Psychology test was to be conducted. I performed to the best of my ability. We rushed to the dining hall after the intense session and relieved ourselves with a sumptuous meal. The next day our schedule was for G.T.O. I and my group of 7 candidates reported sharp at 6.30 am and went for an exciting day ahead. Being repeaters we were able to do all tasks smoothly. In fact, G.T.O  was having light moments by telling the most experienced guy in our group to do the instruction before the start of the activity. We did our G.Ds, G.P.E , 4P.G.Ts, H.G.T, Lecturette, Command Task, and I.O excellently. I was lucky to have a cooperative group. Chest No 56-62: Meerut Guy, Rohan, Brahm, Vishesh, Paaji from Shimla & Myself. Love you all guys!!! Hope to meet one day again.

spot_img

Our Day 3 was scheduled for a Personal Interview and I had the best interview of my life. The President of the Board took my interview and it lasted for 1hr, I was happy that I was able to present my best side. He tried to put me under stress but I managed well. I thank god for helping me to answer all logically.

Day 4 was off day for us and I played all the games and sports available to candidates by the board. We played Snooker, Caram Boards, Hand Football(Like Joey and Chandler plays in F.R.I.E.N.D.S), Table Tennis, Chess, Volley Ball, Basket Ball and Cricket, Phew! A fun and memorable day indeed.

The next day was our Conference and all of us were holding our heartbeats. Though there were guys who were trying to act cool by making us laugh even in a serious situation. My turn came and I had to wait for 10-15 mins before my conference started and I was right away grilled for 10mins. I gave all answers logically.

oir test and ppdt

In the end, D.S.O came and announced the result after President’s motivational speech.

The moment he announced Chest No. 57 & 62 I was elated. We both hugged as we had shared the same dormitory for 5days. We stood on Podium received congratulations and continued with formalities thereafter.

This was my experience of SSB, which made me taste success after 3years of toil. I have been given T.R in Medicals and I have a 1% chance of clearing it. But the satisfaction that I have now of getting Recommended cant be quantified. I will have this as a source of joy all my life. I know I’m destined for big things in life. Will strive forward for it without looking back. Thanks, SSBCrack for sharing my story so that hundreds of Future Military Officers get a lesson from my journey. Never Stop, Follow God’s Plan!

Recommended from SSB Bengaluru in My 8th Attempt

0

Hi everyone, I am Vaibhav Malik, 26, Btech IT from MIT MEERUT recently got recommended from 17 SSB Bengaluru for SSC Tech 58, in my 8th attempt and 6th conference. I am sharing this with SSBCrack because I started the journey with the OIR and helping material from SSBCrack. Some of you might say why not AFCAT and why not INET, point I was very clear about my aim, that was ARMY. The journey was long, started after 12th but with failure of not being able to crack NDA written exam. The army is my passion and I am made for it, I realized this long back since I would be a 4th Gen person from my family starting from my great grandfather to my father who got retired in January 2020. He Is my motivation and role model, especially when he used to come to PTM in Army School in the dress. In 2014 joined engineering as I was passionate and clear about the path since engineering would help me in getting attempts and CDS too. In 2018 gave my attempt for CDS 1 and cleared it.

Also applied for SSC Tech 52. The month of November 2018 from 10-14 at Bhopal, performed but conferenced out, came back gave CDS 2 2018 and on 22 November reported at Allahabad but on 26 same, conferenced out. That was a shock in less than 15 days of timeframe 2 CO’s, then in April 2019 Kapurthala but again conference out. Then again for SSC Tech Bangalore in October 2019 and screen out..another shock..then in 2020 due to corona everything was late. Only one ssb ..again at Allahabad…23-27 September 2020 conference out again on my birthday…A quote says that there are two important days in a man’s life once -when he is born and two- why he is born. I had both the days and the reason for the same…that day…I literally cried and wept. I was confident but unfortunately. Again, one conference in Kapurthala and one screen out from Bhopal in 2021, I Landed up in Bangalore on 7th, didn’t tell anyone that I am coming to SSB. The reporting was on 8th Feb 2022. Reached the center in the morning,186 reported and 30 of us got screened in. I was Chest number 20.

Next 4 days I just performed without the pressure of performing. I was enjoying every task with a smile. On 12th Feb 2022 after the conference, we were lined up and were asking for people who were going to Delhi, but I was just optimistic, not sure but optimistic for a positive outcome and then the result came. 4 of us got recommended. For some time I couldn’t even understand what happened and how. When we were going for further documentation I went to the washroom cried and thanked the good lord and every person who wished me luck ever in this journey. I am thankful to every person on this journey. I am not writing this or sharing this to prove that I am better.No.i am just like every other person and aspirant. All I want to say is there will be a time when people won’t believe you, your parents will doubt you, you yourself will not be able to trust, but you should gather your strength and bounce back, you should not lose hope and faith in yourself, just keep going, no matter what, work continuously and even if u have to be alone, be it. It’s always the journey that teaches you and makes you a better person. Never ever lose hope.

Fortunately, I cleared my medicals with a TR of overweight which I am working on and hope for the merit, I will say to all of my friends that don’t give up, don’t lose hope, just keep going and keep learning, and one day you will achieve your goal.
