The Services Selection Board (SSB) interview is an integral part of the selection process for the Indian Armed Forces. It is a five-day long interview process that evaluates the candidates on various parameters, including intelligence, personality, and character. While the SSB interview is not a test of knowledge, it does require candidates to possess certain qualities, such as leadership, decision-making, and communication skills. Therefore, SSB coaching plays a crucial role in preparing candidates for the interview process.
There are many coaching centers that offer SSB coaching. However, it is essential to choose a coaching center that has a proven track record of success and is staffed by experienced and knowledgeable trainers. The best SSB coaching centers are those that provide a comprehensive and structured training program that covers all aspects of the SSB interview process.
Some of the factors that make a coaching center the best for SSB coaching are:
- Experienced Trainers: The trainers should be experienced professionals who have themselves cleared the SSB interview process or attempted multiple SSB interviews and have an in-depth understanding of the selection criteria.
- Structured Training Program: The coaching center should have a structured training program that covers all aspects of the SSB interview process, including the psychological tests, group discussions, and personal interviews.
- Individual Attention: The coaching center should provide individual attention to each candidate and focus on their strengths and weaknesses.
- Practice Sessions: The coaching center should conduct regular practice sessions, including mock tests and group discussions, to give the candidates a hands-on experience of the SSB interview process.
- Feedback and Counseling: The coaching center should provide regular feedback and counseling to the candidates to help them identify their strengths and weaknesses and work on areas that need improvement.
- Course Material: The coaching center should provide high-quality course material that covers all aspects of the SSB interview process and is regularly updated.
- Success Rate: The coaching center should have a high success rate in terms of the number of candidates who have cleared the SSB interview and been selected for the Indian Armed Forces.
Guidance has always proved to be good. SSB Coachings are a form of guidance that helps in bringing out the best of a candidate. In today’s tough competitive world, where every field demands perfection, it is very essential to get good guidance. SSB is no different. As soon as SSB dates come, many candidates rush to join coaching’s seeking guidance for SSB. But they fail to understand the thin line between guidance and able guidance. SSB Interview coachings are helpful for SSB, especially for the Freshers who don’t have the slightest idea about SSB. But it is equally important to choose the best SSB academy, in order to get the best thing. Joining merely any coaching will be more of a disaster than a help. But, if you are planning to go for an offline coaching academy, do look for these points.
DO NOT JOIN LOSERS: There is a trend happening in India, every second day a new academy is opening and a new master is coming on social media, FB, Youtube with lectures, few of them are retired assessors who talk different things about SSB, they show something deep random psychological CRAP to lure candidates, as if the candidates want to become a DRDO Psychologist and not an officer and candidates believe that these ex-assessors know something which others do not know or they have some magical formula which was hidden for so long, candidates keep grabbing such deep psychological things which only a psychologist must know, this is like putting too much CRAP in your brain which is not required for the SSB interview, this only confuses candidates more.
There are few if not all, newborn ex-SSB assessors who are heard talking BAD about others just to show themselves as good. DO NOT JOIN SUCH PEOPLE. All defence aspirants must avoid joining anyone who talks badly about other SSB academies (especially those who are successful and because these fools want to be like successful academies or websites like SSBCrack without hard work. Such ex-assessors have no moral value and they seriously do not have a clue about someone else’s hard work, they portray themselves like philanthropist who is doing social service, but for them, it is just a business to get the money out of candidates, they are doing to the same what other academies are doing but successful people do not talk bad about other academies, so join a successful academy and not a newborn loser who is spreading hate and negativity in your mind.
Distance: The distance of the academy from your house/place of stay matters. In case you are lucky enough to live in the same city then it’s all right but if you are living in some other city then distance might become a constraint. One another way is that if you are having a fixed SSB date then you might go to the academy in that city where your SSB is, and directly go for SSB from there.
Feedback: One of the best ways to pick out a good academy is to get feedback from other aspirants. They might be your friends or persons you met in any SSB Blog. Don’t go on the advertisements and success rates; they might be misleading since each one of them is promising the same. The best way is to talk about the academy from a known person.
Assessors: Generally the academies are opened up by the retired Defense Personals. You can also do some research on their previous records. Make sure they have different assessors for each test. Most of the newborn academies lack many things like assessors.
Ground: Many academies are opened in a place like an apartment, do not waste your time there, instead get a book and read. Do not make joke out of SSB coaching. Make sure whatever academy you join have proper GTO ground and not a rooftop for GTO task.
Fee & Course Duration: The fees for most of them are same, especially the BIG academies, they have a set duration of the course as well i.e. 15 days.
Lodging and food: This will matter only if you are going out of your home city for the coaching. The big one’s offer their own hostel and food at minimal cost, however if you have a relative then, do I need to say more!
Final Year problems: In case you are still in your college/school, then that means you have an additional burden of studies, I would advise to leave the studies and out them on a second priority and give full focus on SSB. Coaching will hardly take 15 days, but you should be willing enough to leave your classes and focus on coaching, you can make up for the attendance later. However, if the case is that you can’t leave your studies for a while then learn to manage in adversities (It is also an OLQ).
Mother or the Daughter: This is the problem with academies having branches all over India. Well you might get confused about which one to choose, the original one (mother) or the branch (daughter), well it depends on the performance, gets feedback from the pass-outs of that academy, considers the nearest branch, but it is seen that the original one is always the better one.
After Coaching Support: You should look for an academy that can be called up to clarify anything even after your course is over.
Big names vs. Small ones: Go for the one which suits you in all aspects. Brands are definitely the best but you can never underestimate the power of anything. Hence look for the things which you want and then join a good academy.
