Lt General Anindya Sengupta, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C) of the Central Command, visited the 39 Gorkha Training Centre in Varanasi to review the ongoing training of Agniveers.
Commending the Centre for its advanced infrastructure and realistic training initiatives, he emphasized the importance of striving for professional excellence during his interaction with trainees and instructors.
In line with the Indian Army’s commitment to sustainability, the Army Commander inaugurated a range of eco-friendly projects, including a zero-emission, solar-powered EV ecosystem, a green auditorium, and a state-of-the-art Sainik Institute designed for the welfare and development of Gorkha warriors.
This visit highlighted the Indian Army’s focus on modern training, environmental sustainability, and welfare initiatives, reinforcing its commitment to excellence and innovation.
