Lieutenant General H S Sahi, UYSM, AVSM, YSM, SM, General Officer Commanding (GOC) Spear Corps, recently conducted a visit to the headquarters of the Assam Rifles in Kohima and Chieswema, Nagaland. During his visit, Lt Gen Sahi reviewed the operational preparedness of the units stationed there and assessed the current security dynamics in the region.
The GOC commended the Northern Sentinels—personnel of the Assam Rifles—for their exemplary hard work and dedication. He acknowledged their vital role in maintaining peace and stability in the region, which faces various security challenges. Lt Gen Sahi’s visit highlights the continuous efforts of the Indian Army and the Assam Rifles to ensure a high state of readiness in all operational aspects.
