Lieutenant General NS Raja Subramani, PVSM, AVSM, SM, VSM, has assumed the prestigious role of Vice Chief of Army Staff (VCOAS) of the Indian Army today.
The formal ceremony was held at the South Block Lawns in New Delhi, where he reviewed the Guard of Honour and paid his respects to the nation’s fallen heroes at the National War Memorial.
Prior to his new appointment as VCOAS, Lt Gen Subramani served as the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Central Command in Lucknow.
His extensive military career is distinguished by a deep understanding and insightful knowledge of the operational dynamics along both the Western and Northern borders of India.
As the new VCOAS, Lt Gen Subramani’s role will be crucial in shaping the operational and strategic decisions of the Indian Army at a time when regional security dynamics continue to evolve rapidly.
His experience and expertise are expected to guide the Indian Army in maintaining and enhancing its combat readiness and effectiveness across various spectrums of warfare.
