In a significant development at the Military Institute of Technology (MILIT), located in Pune, India, Air Vice Marshal Vivek Blouria has officially passed on the command of this esteemed tri-services training institution to Rear Admiral Nelson D’Souza. This ceremony marks a pivotal transition in the leadership at MILIT, one of the Ministry of Defence’s key educational institutes.
MILIT plays a crucial role in preparing officers from the Indian Army, Navy, Air Force, and the Coast Guard, alongside participants from friendly foreign nations. It specializes in the Defence Services Technical Staff Course (DSTSC), aimed at training mid-career officers to assume senior command and staff roles in the future.
Lt Gen JP Mathew, Chief of Integrated Defence Staff (CISC), along with all ranks at the Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff, extended their best wishes to Rear Admiral D’Souza. They expressed confidence in his capabilities to lead the institute in nurturing the ‘Techno Warriors’ of the Indian Armed Forces.
