Indian Coast Guard Rescues 26 from Stranded Tourist Ferry Near Mormugao Harbour

In a swift and heroic operation, the Indian Coast Guard successfully rescued 24 passengers and 2 crew members from the stranded tourist ferry boat Nerul Paradise near Mormugao Harbour on May 19, 2024.

The ferry had become stranded due to rough weather and fuel exhaustion, prompting an urgent rescue response.

The India Coast Guard Ship C-148 was dispatched to the scene immediately upon receiving the distress call. Despite the challenging conditions, the crew of C-148 managed to locate and reach the stranded ferry swiftly, ensuring the safety of all aboard.

The passengers and crew members were safely transferred to the Coast Guard vessel and brought back to shore without any reported injuries.

The timely intervention by the Indian Coast Guard highlights their unwavering commitment to saving lives and ensuring maritime safety.
