Gen Chauhan underscored the importance of distilling the best practices from each service to adopt a fresh approach to traditional concepts while respecting their unique identities.
Furthermore, he emphasized the imperative of integrating the capabilities of each service to enhance efficiency, warfighting ability, and interoperability.
The conference saw the participation of distinguished leaders including Heads of the Andaman and Nicobar Command, Strategic Forces Command, and Commandants of premier defense institutions such as the National Defence Academy, Defence Services Staff College, College of Defence Management, and Military Institute of Technology.
Additionally, Heads of key agencies like the Armed Forces Special Operations Division, Defence Space Agency, Defence Cyber Agency, and Defence Communication Agency were also present.
Facilitated by Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff, officers from all three services and Headquarters IDS contributed their insights towards shaping the future of modernization, procurement, training, adaptation, and collaboration.
The discussions also delved into national strategic issues affecting security in both civil and military domains.
In his closing remarks, Chief of Integrated Defence Staff to the Chairman, Chiefs of Staff Committee (CISC) Lt Gen JP Mathew expressed confidence that such deliberations would provide crucial guidelines as Joint Operational Structures evolve, paving the way for a future-ready Indian Armed Forces.
