Emphasizing the need for reducing dependence on foreign suppliers and fostering indigenous capabilities, VCNS urged the senior leaders of the Naval Armament Organisation to spearhead efforts towards achieving greater self-sufficiency in armament manufacturing.

Furthermore, Vice Admiral Tripathi articulated the Indian Navy’s vision of being ‘Combat Ready, Credible, Cohesive, and Future Proof’ with an ‘ordnance centrality’ outlook.

He stressed the importance of adopting a holistic approach towards armament management, with a keen focus on safety, maintenance, and preparation of armament to ensure precision delivery during operational engagements.

The conference serves as a platform for deliberating on various administrative, infrastructure, and IT policy matters pertinent to the Naval Armament Organisation.

It provides an opportunity for senior leaders to exchange ideas, share best practices, and chart a course of action for enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of armament-related processes and systems.

The theme of indigenisation and self-reliance resonated strongly throughout the conference proceedings, with discussions centered around strategies for promoting indigenous research, development, and production of armament systems.

Participants deliberated on ways to leverage domestic technological capabilities, foster collaboration with the indigenous defense industry, and expedite the process of indigenisation across the armament spectrum.

As the Indian Navy continues to modernise and expand its operational capabilities, initiatives aimed at enhancing indigenisation and self-reliance in armament assume greater significance.

The Naval Armament Organisation plays a pivotal role in ensuring the readiness and effectiveness of naval forces through the procurement, maintenance, and deployment of cutting-edge armament systems.

In conclusion, the Annual Conference-2024 underscores the Indian Navy’s unwavering commitment to indigenisation, self-reliance, and technological innovation in the realm of armament development.

With the collective efforts of the Naval Armament Organisation and its leadership, the Indian Navy is poised to achieve greater operational autonomy and strategic resilience in the face of evolving security challenges.
