The list comprises candidates from AFCAT, CDS, NCC Entry, and Service Entry, and is arranged in order of merit for each entry type. The following is the merit list, entry-wise, for the courses starting at AFA in July 2023.
AFCAT 2 2022 Merit List
The merit list for the courses starting at the Air Force Academy in July 2023 comprises 302 candidates who have successfully cleared their CDS, AFCAT, and NCC AFSB interviews. The names in the list are arranged in order of merit, categorized by entry type.
The AFCAT 2 2022 Merit List is a list of candidates who have been selected for the Indian Air Force based on their performance in the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) held in August 2022. The merit list includes the names of candidates who have qualified for various posts in the Indian Air Force, including Flying Branch, Ground Duty Technical Branch, and Ground Duty Non-Technical Branch. The list is prepared based on the candidates’ performance in the AFCAT exam, their medical fitness, and the number of vacancies available in each branch. The candidates who have made it to the merit list will be called for further rounds of selection, which may include interviews, group discussions, and medical tests, before being finally selected for their respective posts in the Indian Air Force.
The Merit List does not include the medical status of candidates and serves only to indicate the relative position of all candidates recommended by AFSBs. It is important to note that being included in this merit list does not guarantee selection for admission to AFA.

Depending on various factors such as the order of merit, medical fitness, and the candidate’s branch preference, a distinct merit list will be published for candidates who have been selected to join AFA. This list will also take into account the number of available vacancies in each branch. SSBCrackExams extends its congratulations to all the successful candidates who will soon become the future air warriors responsible for safeguarding our skies.
