Finally, the name of the golden girl who will join the Indian Air Force Rafale Squadron is out as reported by India Today. Flight Lieutenant Shivangi Singh will be the first woman fighter pilot to join the Rafale fleet of the Indian Air Force.
Flight Lieutenant Shivangi Singh was commissioned into the Indian Air Force in 2017 where she was the part of the second batch of the women fighter pilot. native Flt Lt Shivangi Singh is a MiG-21 fighter pilot and also worked alongside Wing Commander Abhinandan, she is currently undergoing conversion training after which she will be part of 17 Squadron, ‘Golden Arrows’ in Ambala.
Flight Lieutenant Shivangi Singh completed her schooling in Varanasi and later joined the Banaras Hindu University (BHU). She was also an NCC Cadet at 7 UP Air Squadron. She appeared for the AFCAT exam and in 2016 she joined the Air Force Academy for training.
It is also reported that her coursemate and fellow woman fighter pilot Flt Lt Pratibha is flying Su-30 MKI at this time.
