NDA Exam Pattern 2015 2016. National Defence Academy is a tri-service academy located in Khadakwasla pune. Unmarried male candidates, who have passed class 12th. This exam is conducted twice every year. It is an excellent opportunity to join the armed forces as officer and gives a chance to serve for the longest time in the forces. It consists of two papers. NDA is a two-step exam. In this exam a written test is conducted first and then those who clear this written exam are called for a six day interview at any of the Service Selection Boards of the services.

It consists of two papers. These papers are of two and a half hours of duration each and are conducted on the same day.

- The General Ability Test consists of English and General Knowledge. English is of 200 marks and General Knowledge is of 400 marks.
- For every correct answer in Maths a candidate will get 2.5 marks and for every wrong answer 0.83 marks will be deducted. In English for every correct answer a candidate will get 4 marks and for every wrong answer 1.33 marks will be deducted. In general Knowledge for every correct answer a candidate will get 4 marks and for every wrong answer 1.33 marks will be deducted.
- If however a candidate leaves a question blank no mark will be deducted.
- Calculators are NOT allowed in the exam.
- All measurements are to be considered in SI unit.
- UPSC reserves the right to fix the cutoff for the written exam depending on the level of question paper and vacancies. Based on that cutoff candidates are called for the SSB interview.
NDA Interview 2015 – 2016
Each candidate has to go through SSB, irrespective of the service applied for. SSB consists of two stage procedure, Stage I comprising of PPDT and OIR Tests and Stage II of Psychological Tests, GT series and Personal Interview. The candidates who clear the SSB are sent for medical examination. Final Merit list if made according to the marks in Written and SSB and successful candidates who appear in the merit according to the capacity of intake are inducted as officers.
