Preparation Needed Before The Interview

Preparation Needed Before The Interview

Serving in defence forces is not just the a job its more than that. It’s offering the service to the motherland and to protect it from any intrusion. We should analyse ourself that is that what we want to achieve ourself, because Defence is not a place where you go for a luxury life, respect, or earning money. This needs complete devotion and that is what checked through the process of SSB. We need to analyse ourself deeply so that we can reveal the truth in SSB and reveal what our original personality is. This analysis will definitely help aspirants for psychometric examinations that is held at SSB.

Especially the PI is a wonderful exercise where you need to revisit your life along with the interviewer visiting different phases, studying problems of life and celebrating the success moments. The following analysis beforehand can be fruitful for preparation:

  • How do I tend to spend my time and utilise it?
  • Where do I see myself in future and what work pleases me?
  • How good am I in time management?
  • Am I helping others with dedication?

  • What are the types of people I love to spend time with?
  • What are the qualities that I appreciate in such people?
  • How do my friends react to me and what are their comments on me for my preparation?
  • What are my hobbies that please me to spend time?
  • What’s that thing which i love to do and I am best at?
  • How do my parents look at me and what improvement they want in my personality? Actually parents are really a good source to gather your weakness as they would reveal the reality. So don’t bang your head in creating your fake weaknesses which are easily called off, just ask you parents this question and you will get the best answer.
  • Recreation time spent in what?
  • Do I love sports and which one? Why do i appreciate this sports and what’s special about it?
  • Am I interested in the happenings in the world and how do I realise what improvements can be brought and what could be the possible role I can play?
There are lot of things that needs to be done and prior preparation and guidance can save you in increasing your attempts which unnecessarily creates stress in mind. If you really know your mistakes in the previous attempts then analyse them and improve because they look for perfection in SSB and something less than that does not actually work. Look for a mentor who can guide you individually not in a group as you are all together a different person with different set of qualities. How can you be taught  in a group where all different set of people are sitting.
