Do’s And Don’ts For WAT In SSB

WAT is the second test conducted during the process of psychology during SSB. This test is assumed to be the toughest one as the time available to attempt the test is very limited. This condition is kept because the test intends to judge the real self of the person by making sentences through the process of flashing of words.

The TAT might be a easy test as sufficient time is given for writing and thinking of the stories but in WAT each word is flashed for 15 seconds in which the aspirant needs to see the word and write the sentence based on it. In this process a series of 60 words are shown one after the other. Please follow the following which might help in performing the best:

  1. You should write your first reaction to the word and the thought that comes to your mind. The idea is to see the reaction of the taker towards the positive and the negative words that come in a prearranged sequence.
  2. I suggest prepare beforehand for this test as you will get no time to think over there. If you try to think then you will miss on the word which is again not a good indication.
  3. Try to attempt all the words as missing a word creates a wrong impression in the minds of the examiner.

  4. Practice beforehand to see what you right and see whether you are able to deliver your qualities which should be implied and not directly written.
  5. Never try to use word like I, and other truth that are widely known. You are not a new person to tell such things again.
  6. Try building habit of seeing words and using it in a sense of making sentences that could really bring your perceived qualities or yourself in sentences. Remember this is not a sentence making competition where you just form sentences and you expect to get selected.
  7. Always get your psychology assessed by experts who can devote time all alone with you as through all the psychology tests you are showing yourself not the other person, so even if you get some wonderfully formed sentences from somewhere or from a sample copy they might not benefit you as they are not closer to yourself. This can be a dangerous case and can backfire you.
  8. Try to show positivity in sentences and try to reveal your aim of life, benefit you cause and your strengths only.
Keep practicing high for psychology as this forms the toughest part of SSB which seems to be simple but is really a tough one.
