Five Tips To Perform Well In Indian Coast Guard FSB

With PSB [Preliminary Selection Board] results declared and FSB [Final Selection Board] round the corner I had been receiving many queries related to FSB.  Final selection board is almost similar to the SB conducted for defence forces, so all the applicants are requested not to worry with the naming convention and prepare well by bringing improvement in their personality. There is a minor difference in the GTO rounds only and rest all matches similar to the SSB. Thought of giving few pointers that can help in excelling in this board:

Five Tips To Perform Well In Indian Coast Guard FSB

  1. Be yourself: there is no other way of clearing this exam. If extra brain is applied in improving and polishing things, be ready to return the last day. I have seen aspirants preparing with others material or some already existing suggestions from friends, which try to modify their personality in whatever they do. Never do this as SSB is all about individualistic personality and you have to prove your worth. Preparation starts with self-introspection where you try to realise your OLQ’s and weak areas and try to improve. Don’t wait for the last moment and start early as personality moulding needs time.
  2. Communication skills are also important: No one says that if you can speak flawless English then only you can become officer, but this is the only common language that can be understood by everybody across country and you would love that everyone in your group should understand what you speak. If not fluent, start learning and practicing it.
  3. Don’t try to copy others: Be positive: Positivity should be reflected in whatever you do there. You have to prove that adverse situations can also not make you weak.
  4. Make proper bonding with group members: Though you need to prove you’re worth individually in many rounds, but you will be assessed in groups also for behaviour and team work, so try to move along with everyone. Take everyone together in the group testing.
  5. Brush up technical:  the technical questions might be asked in the PI, so just be ready to face them and its expected from the aspirants to brush up the basics. If guidance is needed prefer one to one guidance as in larger chunks the individual personality is lost somewhere leaving aspirants confuse, worsening the situation.
Tips for Indian Coast Guard FSB
FSB is all about personality assessment so concentrate well on improving the personality and stop believing in myths that exist. Still If you have any confusion or feel to take individual assessment of personality for olq’s or prepare from your place itself through one to one interaction through my mentoring / counselling program drop me a mail at [email protected] or add me on Fb and drop in a message. It would be a pleasure to help and resolve queries and clear doubts. Prepare well as this is the great opportunity to wear white uniform with golden bands. That uniform is waiting for you, just prepare well without worrying for result. Dedicated improvement in personality as per the need and expectations will lead to result by default.
