Note:Candidates who are studying in final year Degree Course and have yet to pass final year degree examination or equivalent examination can also apply for examination, but they will be required to submit proof of passing by the specified dates published in Commission’s Notice for Examination.

Can I attend SSB for CDS having a backlog in hand and my degree course will get completed in April i.e exams will get completed by April but then the provisional certificate will be available in the month of July but in the CDS notification it is given that candidates should submit their certificates by 13th May,..Can i attend the SSB?

if you chose army as 1st option then no problem. for ground duty in air force it should be alright. I believe its a matter of concern if you aim for pilot/observer.

if you want techn allowance then you must get selected under a technical entry (i.e. UES, TGC, SSC(tech) only). Any other entry will make you non-tech.
On graduating from the academy you will be asked for your preference list on the corps of your choice. You may take EME, engineers, signals(these are strictly tech. corps).

1. I have given my final year exams and want to know the various entries through which i can join Indian Army other than CDS.
2. As I am from IT branch does this means now i cannot go for TGC entry.
3. While filling CDS form online they ask for preference in IMA/NA/AF/OTA using the numbers 0/1/2/3/4 my question what 0 means is it first prefrence or not applying.
IT branch is not mentioned in TGC-116 entry, so the only option left is CDSE, also you can write AFCAT if you are interested in IAF.
0 means not eligible for that particular academy.

50% of the last payment as pension for SSC.
sorry but SSC entry people are not eligible for pension and in the same way Flying is not just SSC NDA and CDS entries are PC. and IAF does not give any extension for SSC entry after 14 years and it is not that they convert to some other role. And about the medical fitness , the pilots in IAF maintain Flying catagory even upto being the Chief of Air Staff. and please do not answer questions you are not fully aware about.

In any SSC entry the initial period of commission is for 14years but at the end of the tenure you can keep extending it for period of 5years.
means after 14 yrs…… if i opt for ssc flying, i will not be force to go out of service. I can able to extend my service for 5 yrs more. ????????
in that case, can i continue my flying or i will be attached to some other department ??????

You are not eligible as of now, though you shall apply in your pre final year for University Entry Scheme (UES) for Indian Army and Indian Air Force.
Is tattoo rule applicable to officers also???

The rules are not given in the notification. Yes you are eligible. The rule says that a visible tattoo in arm is acceptable. Nowhere but arms is acceptable.
admin i have a confusion..when they say about 32 vacancies in cds advertisement(flying branch) does it mean there r 32 vacancies in permanent commission or they also include short service commission??
if its only for permanent commission will they only fill it with cds entries or will they also take candidates with afcat entry??
Flying is never a PC it is a SSC.
CDSE Flying and AFCAT flying both have different reserved seats , not same.
i doubt.i mean they mention 2 categories even in the final merit list like-“191 F(P) CDSE ENTRY” and “9 SSC (FLYING)”.
i dont think 191 F(P) is a ssc,they would have mentioned it.and after all that training they will get only 14 years to serve??that doesn’t make sense.
i asked bcoz in ad they showed 32-35 vacancies but only 13 got recommended for 191 F(P) batch..that started in jan 2012
Flying SSC doesn’t mean that you have to quit IAF after that, it means that you can not do flying after certain age and may go to some other department. Flying need some medical fitness which may not be there after certain age.

dear lalit,
The pre screening interviews for UES 22 were held from october 2011 onwards and were all over by dec 2011. The results of the candidates selected for SSB were dispatched to their respective college’s Training and Placement department.
If you haven’t given the pre SSB yet then stop worrying about UES 22 and keep updated for the next UES/TGC that might be notified soon enough.

Cut off is usually low when compare to IMA AFA and NA. It is not fixed and depends on the number of applicants.

1. Navy training is going to commence on Dec 2012. For notifications check navys website.
2. TGC-115 and SSC-39 issue , please clear it from army HQ.
3. TGC-115 interviews are over, apply for TGC-116, training will start near Sep-Oct 2012
Once after the completion of training from IMA, the GC’s are offered to make choice of corps of their choice. Do they get what they want?

Yes, you can make your choices but again getting it depends on your performance during training.

Yes, they can, its not necessary that all TGC candidates gets a technical field , some of may go to infantry or other units also.
I will graduate(B.E. electrical and elx. engg.) next year in may 2013. However I may not be able to procure the graduation certificate by the mentioned date, as my university exams are over by mid may. And the results should be announced in initial weeks of june. Should that be a problem. Anyhow I am applying for the same.
Yes you can apply for it, but as mentioned at the time of SSB you have to carry a proof for the same.
I understand that, but what I am asking is that after getting recommended by the SSB they have asked to submit the degree marksheet latest by may 12, 2013. My argument is that my final sem exams dont even start by then, so how do i manage even a provisional degree certificate? Do they consider such reasoning or any way things could be worked out?
Yes, at that time you will be on bond basis , means you will get some deadline and before that you have to submit the mark sheets. Do not worry you will get that much feasibility .
But keep in mind that you have to pass in all the exams , you will not be allowed in training if you gets fail in any subject(final sem or any sem) .
