The Eastern Naval Command’s INHS Kalyani has marked a significant milestone by welcoming the thousandth baby of the year 2024, an achievement celebrated on the last day of the year, December 31, 2024. The birth of this baby is not just a number but a testament to the unwavering commitment of the medical staff at INHS Kalyani to provide compassionate care. This achievement underscores the hospital’s critical role in the community, particularly in serving the health needs of naval personnel and their families stationed in Visakhapatnam.

INHS Kalyani, known for its comprehensive healthcare services, has been instrumental in not only treating its dependent population but also engaging in community outreach to promote the Indian Navy as an ambassador of goodwill. The hospital, which celebrated its Silver Jubilee in 1987 with various outreach programs, continues to expand its facilities and services, with a recent approval for upgradation to a Command Hospital with over 600 beds in 2010.
