A group of 39 NCC girl cadets from Kohima, Nagaland, is participating in a 10-day Indian Army attachment camp at the Military Hospital in Rangapahar. The camp provides a unique opportunity for cadets to gain firsthand experience in the medical domain while instilling a sense of discipline and service.
During the camp, the cadets are being introduced to various medical procedures, first-aid techniques, and the operational aspects of a military hospital. The training emphasizes the importance of medical readiness and equips the cadets with essential skills to respond effectively in emergencies.
The initiative not only enhances the cadets’ knowledge of healthcare but also strengthens their understanding of the values of service, teamwork, and responsibility. By fostering these qualities, the camp aims to inspire the cadets to contribute meaningfully to their communities and, potentially, to pursue careers in the armed forces or healthcare sectors.
Such programs reflect the Indian Army’s commitment to nurturing the next generation by providing them with valuable learning experiences and exposure to the Army’s ethos of discipline and dedication.
