Vice Admiral Gurcharan Singh, Commandant of the National Defence Academy (NDA), hosted the aircrew of various aircraft formations participating in the NDA Passing Out Parade (POP) Autumn Term 2024. The event was a nostalgic and celebratory gathering, bringing together serving officers with a shared history at the Academy.
Several aircrew members, who are alumni of NDA, fondly reminisced about their time at the prestigious institution, recalling the formative experiences that shaped their military careers. The interaction highlighted the enduring bond between the Academy and its alumni, many of whom are now contributing significantly to the operational readiness and excellence of the armed forces.
The Commandant acknowledged the critical role of the aircrew in showcasing the military’s aerial prowess and appreciated their continued dedication to service. The event underscored the NDA’s legacy as the cradle of leadership and its lasting influence on generations of officers across the Army, Navy, and Air Force.
While prayers do keep hopes aloft, as a parent we must give the children good education, continually challenge them mentally by engaging in quizzes, having debates with them on stimulating topics, good
nourishing food, putting them through physical fitness tests __ running a mile in 5 mins, doing 10 push-ups, 5 pull-ups on the horizontal bar, etc.
If, after doing all that, they still don’t make it — then accept it as God’s Will. Perhaps God says ” better things are in store for
them.”
