Indian Army and Jammu & Kashmir Police Launch Integrated Training Program

In a significant move towards bolstering security and enhancing operational effectiveness in the region, the Indian Army, in collaboration with the Jammu & Kashmir Police, has initiated a joint training program at the White Knight Corps Battle School in Bhalra, Doda.

Commencing on March 19, 2024, this integrated training program underscores the commitment of both forces to furthering coordination and combined operational capabilities in the fight against terrorism and insurgency.

The joint training initiative is a testament to the longstanding partnership between the Indian Army and the Jammu & Kashmir Police, who have stood shoulder to shoulder in combating terrorism for over three decades.

Together, they have conducted numerous successful joint operations, including the strategic containment in Sopore and the counter-terrorism strikes in Pulwama, showcasing their collaborative excellence and determination in restoring peace and stability in the region.

The current batch of trainees comprises 62 Deputy Superintendents of Police and over 1000 Police Sub Inspectors, with a notable representation of women in both ranks. This reflects the commitment of both forces to gender inclusivity and empowerment in the security apparatus of Jammu & Kashmir.
