This year’s Republic Day parade, apart from being special due to the presence of Barack Obama, brought moments of joy and pride for two sisters. Prabhjot and Ramnik marched down Rajpath on January 26 in separate contingents. While Lieutenant Prabhjot Daveta was a part of the Army’s women contingent, her sister Flying Officer Ramnik represented the Indian Air Force (IAF).
The second generation officers are daughters of Colonel Gurpal Singh Daveta. Lieutenant Prabhjot is currently serving in the ASC of the Army while Flying Officer Ramnik is posted at the Air Force Station in Kanpur.
