The things you learn help you to in a way rediscover yourself, and find out what is good in you and the areas you need improvement in. Things you learn from SSB Interview
- Confidence: It is not something which can be taught to somebody, or forced up on you, but when you go for SSB you come out as a more confident person. You learn a lot about how to keep your calm and be confident in adverse situations.
- Patience: The tasks and the whole procedure of SSB are exhausting. You might be the person who loves to do everything instantly without a second’s wait, but once you have been through SSB, you learn a lot of patience.
- Leadership: SSB teaches you a lot about emerging as a leader. You might have performed well, or totally messed it up, but you learn a lot of things about leadership.
- Accepting others: There might be people in your group, who you couldn’t stand if it were not SSB. But you learn to not only accept them but like them too. This happens not because you have an ulterior motive but because you spend so much of time with them that you are okay with them.
- Taking good from others: You are surrounded by a pool of talented youngsters. You see them and learn a lot of good qualities from them.
- Surviving without modern gadgets: You are not allowed to take your phones, tabs or laptops, unless you sneak them in and run a chance of getting caught (never do that). You learn to live without them, and actually enjoy life.
- Camaraderie: Since you spend six days in close proximity, in the same room with your group member, the bonds you develop is incredible. You miss them when the SSB ends and the friendship which grows is amazing. This is because there are no gadgets and you actually spend time with your fellows.
- About Yourself: You learn a lot about yourself. You learn your strengths and about your weaknesses. You might have spent a lot of time living independently, but SSB gives you an insight into your own personality. So you get to know yourself.
- Knowledge: The people who come for SSB have immense knowledge about a lot of things. Some may be proficient with the current affairs while some might know a great deal about defense forces. This whole experience is a lot about gaining immense knowledge.
- Positivity: You see a lot of people failing and trying again. Teaches you one of the best lessons of life. You might be in a situation when you fail, but it doesn’t let you fall. You get up and promise yourself to try again, to achieve the dream, the goal you have.
