National Defence Academy, a dream destination for all the aspiring Fauji boys. If you are reading this article then for sure you are either parent/sibling (or related somehow) of a 16-17 year old and want him to join this prestigious institution, or you might be the guy who wants to join NDA. This article deals about why NDA is a golden opportunity for any guy who wants to join the defence forces of India.
As you must know that NDA exam is meant for boys who have passed or are appearing in their 12th exams. So if you look closely to this fact you’ll realize that NDA is the biggest and brightest job opportunity you get after 12th, ever thought that you’ll be placed somewhere after 12th! Certainly not! Let us see why NDA is a golden chance:
- Your first chance of placement: Obviously no-one thinks of taking up a job after 12th (unless conditions demand), but if you get through NDA that means you are joining an earn while you learn scheme. You have to barely pay for the course you do in NDA (BA/BSc), plus you have a fixed job after your training. The time you spend in the academy will be the best time of your life, so certainly a fair deal for 4 years of ragda.
- Young minds are the freshest: The mind-set of a 16-17 year old is not very kiddish yet not very mature. So it’s very easy for them to portray their real self. Plus they have a fresh mind, something which helps a lot in the psychological tests. People at this age are filled with enthusiasm, positive energy and freshness, so they have a zeal which drives them, a yes-yes for fauj.
- The HUGE vacancy: NDA is probably the only exam for defence with such a huge number of vacancies. More vacancy means more chances of getting through the merit.
- Low competition level: The boys who come for NDA SSB have not seen much of exposure; this means their minds are still raw. Whereas once you go after college for SSB, you have seen a lot of exposure; the same is true for other people coming for the same thing. So when you go for NDA you have brighter chances of succeeding. Though SSB is not about better among a group, yet having a good group helps.
- The ‘they are just kids’ factor: The officials at SSB generally overlook a minor fault you do which they’ll not overlook once you go after college. This is because the officials consider you as kids when you go for NDA, so simple mistakes are overlooked. This helps a lot in psychology and interview. By the way you are not being encouraged to do mistakes!
- Better chances of reaching up the ladder: The earlier you join, the better chances you have of being the Chief of Staff or any other high rank for that matter. NDA is the earliest you can join.
- More horizons for sports and adventure: If you are very much interested in taking up a sport, then this is a golden opportunity. You can play for the team of services, where the selections are fair. When you join NDA you get the earliest opportunity for this.
- The sense of pride: Once you get through the forces, the sense of pride is incomparable. Your personality will be totally changed and the feeling of achieving something at an early age will always remain.
It is a golden opportunity for all the young boys, where you get chance to play, learn and serve your country together. Don’t miss this opportunity, work hard and get prepared to turn into gentlemen.
