word association test

The words in Word Association Tests [WAT] are not just taken at random. These are specially selected, and sometimes, arranged in a particular pattern or group so that the Psychologist may be able to come to his conclusion as to what qualities these responses point to, in order to enable him to write a pen picture of the candidate’s personality.

The Psychologist interprets this reaction or he states from these associations or reactions the traits of the personality of the candidates. With the help of this test, the Psychologist understands or gets a fair idea of the candidate’s personality, his likes and dislikes, his achievements, and his weakness and strong points, his sentiments, his emotional attitudes and temperamental makeup.
