Alert to all aspirants! The beginning of 2017 has come up with NCC, SSC Tech and JAG applications for different graduates and NCC C certificate holders. NDA forms are also out for all 10+2 appearing and pass out candidates. Other direct and indirect entries are also coming in upcoming months. The year is giving diverse opportunities to all aspirants. Talking about other opportunities that Indian army will serve for the aspirants, the upcoming entries are as follows.
NDA 1 2017 and NDA 2 2017 – NDA is the first opportunity served to the armed forces aspirants. UPSC has just released the notification for NDA 1 2017 for all 10+2 pass and appearing candidates. The candidates can apply for it and they will get 2 ½ months to prepare for the exam that is scheduled in April. The entry is only for the male candidates and the training will be conducted at Khadawasla, Pune. The notification of NDA 2 2017 is expected to be released by June of this year.
Technical Entry Scheme 10+2 TES 38 and 10+2 TES 39 – It is a direct entry for 10+2 passed candidates. Like NDA, It is also for male candidates having Physics, Chemistry and Maths in 10+2 and minimum 70% marks in 10+2. The shortlisting of the candidates is done over the official cut off that is decided by the concerned authorities of Indian army. The application forms for the entry will be released in May/June or October/ November.
CDS 1 2017 and CDS 2 2017 – CDS 1 2017 is just a few week ahead and the notification of CDS 2 2017 will be released in June/ July this year. The opportunity is served to all male and female graduate candidates to join the Army, Navy or Air Force. The exam opens the gate for the candidates to join IMA, AFA, INA and OTA. All the 4 academies are for male and OTA allow women to join the Indian Army. The candidates applying for IMA, AFA and INA will face English, G.K and maths paper and they will be provided permanent commission after their training. While the candidates applying for OTA will have to face English and G.K papers and they will be awarded Short service commission.
Technical Graduate Course TGC 126 and TGC 127– It is also a direct entry for the engineering candidates. TGC 126 and 127 forms will be released in May/June and October/ November of this year. The entry is specifically for male candidates and candidates will be awarded permanent commission after competition of their training. The age limit for the eligible candidates is 20-27 years.
SSC (Tech) – SSC Tech 49 for male candidates and SSC tech 20 for female candidates will be available online from 23rd Jan to 26th Feb. The candidates having engineering degree in the streams notified in the official notification can apply for the entry. The age range for both male and female candidates is 20-27 years. For war widows, the age has been relaxed and extended to 19 to 29 years and they need to produce any degree from a recognized university for applying for the entry.
Judge Advocate General JAG 19 and JAG 20 – JAG 19 course is also the upcoming opportunity for the aspirants. All law graduates, who have their age in between 21-27 years and having degree in law with minimum 55% marks can apply for the entry. The application forms for the entry will be available online from 23rd Jan to 22 Feb 2017. The applications for the JAG 20 will be released in June/ July.
NCC Special Entry NCC 42 and NCC 43 – NCC 42 notifications are also about to be released for all NCC C certificate holders (A or B grades). The application will be available from 17 Jan to 15 Feb. The entry is for both male and female candidate having their ages in between the range of 19-25 years.
University Entry Scheme UES 30 and UES 31 – UES is also a direct entry for all pre-final year engineering students. Candidates have to undergo a campus interview at respective detailed centres. The selected candidates are further called for the interview at the SSB centers. The notification of the entry is released in May every year.
Territorial Army 2017 – Territorial Army gives the opportunity to civilian and ex-servicemen to join the segment of the army. The forms for the ex-service men are out and for civilian candidates, the forms will be out in May/June. The age limit for all candidates is from 18-42 years and the candidate either has a gainful employment or an ex-armed forces commissioned officer. The applications for ex-armed forces officers are out and the form submission is totally offline.
Conclusion – Indian Army releases several opportunities for the all age groups and candidates of almost all qualifications. The opportunities are sufficient for a dedicated aspirant to get into the Armed Forces and be a part of the legacy. The Armed Forces has a dearth of several officers and the aspirants must get their talent come in the use of the nation. So, start planning for the entries, prepare hard and be a part of the elite organization.

i have read the notification but there is no aeronautical branch, can i apply by keeping mechanical branch, will there be any problem.
i think tentative date for ssc(T)-43 is mentioned wrong, it shiuld be jan and june as shown in the post
