Navy Services Selection Board Bengal

West Bengal, Diamond Harbour is going to have a new Naval Services Selection Board (SSB) soon in this year.  Young aspirant of Indian Navy can gear up to face NSB interviews at NSB Bengal near October 2013.

Indian Navy Commandos

At present, there are three Naval Selection boards recruting candidates for Indian Navy. An estimated 5,000 candidates will be giving Navy SSB Interviews in South 24-Parganas every year.
The three other Navy Selection boards i.e. Bhopal, Bangalore and Coimbatore are not capable of handling the number of candidates applying every year, also candidates from north east region are facing problems while traveling a long way to present NSB centers.

After the new NSB gets operational, Navy will be doing more recruitment and handling the screening process more easily for huge crowed. Indian Navy is lacking officers and this could be an excellent steps towards Indian defence growth. Recently,  Indian Air force started with a new AFSB center at Gandhinagar Gujarat.  These steps are truly motivating and encouraging which helps a defence aspirant in many ways.

While designing this SSB, we tried to improve upon the facilities available elsewhere. SSB interviews start from Mondays and carry on over five days. At the Naval SSB, candidates will undergo interviews, psychological tests and physicals. The medical tests will be held at the Eastern Command Hospital in Kolkata. The candidates will be put up inside the compound of the SSB and there will be separate accommodation for men and women. Normally, we have 52 batches every year. Each batch will comprise nearly 100 candidates – Commodore Ravi Ahluwalia, naval officer-in-charge, West Bengal

Hope Indian Navy perform a successful operation in new selection board in West Bengal.
