Delhi high court ordered to fix the parity in engineering/technical degrees in India. The Center was asked by the Delhi High Court to set up a panel of experts who will be responsible for examine UGC recognized engineering degrees in various streams and decide a equality among them to facilitate Indian army aspirants.
The Cause:
Recently Indian army has removed few branched from technical entry recruitment like TGC and SSC, which has created lot of sadness among ineligible candidates. Candidates those who were eligible earlier are no more eligible for tech entries in army. Indian army has took this decision just to reduce the amount of applicants every because it is hard to manage the big crowd, however ineligible candidates are facing hard time because army is not listening to them.
Action:
Many candidates have started sending appeal and request to Indian army and courts, candidates are appealing for equal opportunity as they have also studied the same syllabus which is studied by the eligible candidates.
& Reaction:
On 26 Nov 2012, Delhi high court has order the government to setup a group who will fix parity in technical degrees. The court was hearing a bunch of petitions from B Tech degree holders in various streams like Information Technology, Computer Science, Instrumentation and Control, Electronic and Instrumentation, and Electrical and Electronics engineering etc, seeking employment with Army against the vacancies advertised for B Techs in Electrical, Computer Science and Electronic and Instrumentation.

Bottom Line:
There is no logic behind this step of Indian army or they must provide a satisfactory answers to candidates willing to join army, all candidates with equal qualification must be treated equally irrespective to their degree name. Most of the branches have same syllabus but with difference in name. Hope this action may fetch some good results for defence aspirates.
kindly reply to this sir coz no one can answer except you.. is there any solution for this problem.
hellow admin..i had attended ssb on 3 jan for sscw(t)-11 and there we faced this branch problem. they said that electronics and instrumentation engg. and electronics and electrical engg are not allowed and are different from electronics engg and electrical engg. respectively. what we should do nw.. Delhi high court has allowed for ssc(t)-40 n not for sscw(t)-11. why this kind of discrimination is doing by high court n Army. i am afraid for applying in Army for tech entry in future that they will again create same confusion and will not allow us. suggest some ideas.
AND WHAT ABOUT THE PERCENTAGE CRITERIA FOR TECHNICAL ENTERIES AS BECAUSE OF THIS ALSO, SO MANY CANDIDATES WHO ARE KEEN TO JOIN DEFENSE FORCES BUT ARE NOT ABLE TO coz of the percentage criteria, please help me to know that how to tell the army to remove this…….AND IS THERE ANY CHANCE OF REMOVING THIS????
I AM NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT THEY WANT THEY SEND BACK ALL THE CANDIDATE HAVING COMPUTER ENGINEERING BUT ALLOW INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY BRANCH STUDENT .HOW ITS POSSIBLE THEY DIDNT PUBLISH ANY CHANGE IN NOTIFICATION OF TGC117 OR 40SSC AND SUDDENLY ALLOWED IT GUYS AND SAID THEY GET AN NOTIFICATION ON BEHALF OF DELHI HIGHCOURT VERDICT ON DISCRIMINATION AGAINST A VERY KNOWN BRANCH (IT).SO THEY ALLOW IT GUYS BUT WHAT ABOUT OTHER IT GUYS WHO DONT HAVE AN IDEA ABOUT THAT AND NOT FILL THE FOR TGC 117 AND DIDINT ATTEND THE SSB FOR 40SSC DUE TO PREVIOUS MESH.I GOT THIS INFORMATION FROM MY FRIEND WHO ATTENDED SSB YESTERDAY AT BHOPAL I AM SHOCKED THEY DIDNT PERMIT A SINGLE TUDENT FROM RTU UNIVERSITY BECAUSE ALL HAVING DEGREE OF COMPUTER ENGINEERING AND MY FRIEND ONE OF THEM.
SO I SUGGEST YOU ALL IT GUYS MUST ATTEND THE SSB IT IS GOOD NEWS FOR INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY GUYS BUT INJUSTICE WITH CS GUYS I SUGGEST YOU ALL TO FILE AN RTI OR CASE AGAINST THIS DISCRIMINATION AT BHOPAL WITH CS GUY.
Hi Sandeep,
Is really Army allowing students of B.Tech IT to attend SSB??
Hi,you just need to have equivalency certificate for your branch to the notified branch from AICTE.
check this
B.Tech(IT) is considered as equivalent to B.Tech(CSE).
Do a person with B.Tech(IT) need to have equivalence certificate from AICTE?
Any update on it ..
How much time will it take to get clarified ???
dear admn,
will they do any modficaton n vaccancy against EEE ofr tgc-117.. or else by upcoming notiication
SO THERE IS ANY CHANCE OF NEW NOTIFICATION FOR TGC117 OR IT WILL BE IMPLEMENTED IN UPCOMING ENTRIES
hope for the best………….
Hope! it will be a positive sign for next entries ;
Bravo!
Relief in the air! Expectations will now be lived up.
