UPSC CDS II 2016 Exam – UPSC CDS 2 2016 Notification

UPSC also know as Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has published the CDS 2 2016 notification and it will be conducting Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2016 [for IMA, OTA, NA and AFA] on 14th February 2016. UPSC CDS 12 2016 Exam Online Registration will close on 4th December 2015. Candidates are required to apply for CDS 2 2016 exam online through UPSC. More details on UPSC CDS 2 2016 Exam is given below:

CDS Exam 2016 I & II AGE LIMITS, SEX AND MARITAL STATUS

  1. For Indian Military Academy (IMA): Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 02nd Jan 1993 and not later than 1st Jan 1998 only are eligible
  2. For Indian Naval Academy (INA): Unmarried Male candidates born not earlier than 2nd Jan 1993 and not later than 01st Jan 1998 only are eligible
  3. For Air Force Academy (AFA) – Age: 20 to 24 years as on 01st Jan 2017 i.e. born not earlier than 02nd Jan 1993 and not later than 01 Jan 1997 (Upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot Licence issued by DGCA (India) is relaxable up to 26 yrs. i.e. born not earlier than02nd Jan 1991 and not later than 01st Jan 1997) only are eligible Note: Candidate below 25 years of age must be unmarried.
  4. For Officers Training Academy (SSC Course for Men): Male candidates (married or unmarried) born not earlier than 02nd July 1991 and not later than01st July 1997 only are eligible
  5. For Officer Training Academy (SSC Women Non-Technical Course): Unmarried Women, issueless widows who have not remarried and issueless divorcees (in possession of divorce documents) who have not remarried are eligible
  6. They should have been born not earlier than July 1991 and not later than1st July 1997 are eligible

CDS 2 2016 Educational Qualification

  • Indian Military Academy: Degree of a recognised University or equivalent.
  • Officers Training Academy: Degree of a recognised University or equivalent.
  • Indian Naval Academy: Degree in Engineering from a recognised University/ Institution.
  • Air Force Academy: Degree of a recognised University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.

CDS 1 2016 Application Fee

₹ 200/- for General and OBC Category Candidates; No fee for SC / ST / Female Candidates. The fee either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of SBI, State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/State Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore / State Bank of Patiala / State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/ Master Credit/ Debit Card.
